The OFE was established to pursue new opportunities that elevate financial well-being across our community as well as direct and oversee the City’s existing programs and initiatives in this area. The OFE also promotes financial empowerment as a citywide priority and seeks to implement its strategies within the City’s policies, procedures, and ordinances efficiently and transparently. As the OFE Di
rector, Gallagher leads the City's work in helping to ensure all Jackson residents have access to credible sources for financial services, literacy, and opportunities. These efforts are meant to strengthen the individual financial empowerment of all Jacksonians and advance financial health and economic growth for the city as a whole. Additionally, she is active within the community through volunteer work, local support, and community organizing. She serves as a board member for the Jackson-Madison County African American Chamber of Commerce, the Jackson-Madison County NAACP Branch, and the Jackson Equity Project. Gallagher’s prior professional experience includes personal & commercial banking, management, financial counseling, and human resources.
