Inspired by legendary global soundsystems of yesteryear, the label boasts an eclectic yet cohesive catalog of music inspired parties from Detroit to London, New York to Nigeria, Jamaica to Chicago, and Tokyo to Brazil.

Seattle! and are coming through this Saturday, July 12th to join Théque Support ( & ) for their infamous Disco Dust party at .seattle. Party starts outside on the patio with the balearic sunshine vibes and dogs grilling from 6-10pm before the dance floor opens up inside from 10pm-close. You didn’t think Viva La Resistance was going to take its 11th year off did you? After last year’s down-and-dirty decennial dance Rocksteady Disco is back at our favorite little space for celebration of the real beginning of summer from daytime through the sunset until night.

Join us at everyone’s favorite Memorial Day Weekend party on Saturday from 2 PM - 2 AM on the MotorCity Wine patio. For our 11th edition we’ve tapped in some industry staples and new friends, including (in alphabetical order): Eddie Logix, David A-P b2b John Beltran, Marc Meistro [Sol Power All-Stars], Peter Croce, Tommaso, and Yukiko. All of them will be on the wheels of steel with life affirming music all day and night.

As we draw closer to our Valentine’s Day jam at Spot Lite we wanted to introduce our DJs and share their favorite Loft Classics. So without further ado, and last but not least, we give you EDDIE LOGIX! In his own words:
“Before I really started DJing I would dig for records to sample and found the Loft Classics bootleg with Dexter Wansel’s ‘Life on Mars’ which was my first introduction to David Mancuso and The Loft even if I didn’t understand the full history yet. All these years later and it’s still in my bag and brings me great joy to play out.
Mancuso is an original architect of this dance music culture. More than the balloons, the acid punch or the Klipschorns it was his pure intentions with the people and the music that opened a new party portal for us all to dance our own way through.“

As we draw closer to our Valentine’s Day jam at Spot Lite we wanted to introduce our DJs and share their favorite Loft Classics. So without further ado, we give you PETER CROCE! In his own words:
“Choosing just one Loft classic is really challenging, mostly because David would play for so long and cover so many different energy levels and vibes. But one that has become a bit of a personal anthem [if only in my mind and not in my sets] has been War’s ‘City Country City’. It’s an spiritual instrumental epic that combines so many different American musical traditions into one. It’s such a fun freeform dance tune, and when they really start to cook halfway through it’s such an ecstatic groove. Learning that David used to spend a lot of his weekdays in upstate NY has been an inspiration for me as I try to balance country and city life.”

As we draw closer to our Valentine’s Day jam at Spot Lite we wanted to introduce our DJs and share their favorite Loft Classics. So without further ado, we give you ELADO! In his own words:
“My first meeting with Mancuso and the Loft was through the 2 double CD compilations on Nuphonic that came out in the year 2000. It was a high disco education for the DJ I was then, hungry for knowledge about the roots of everything; then I went to collect the loft classics vinyl bootlegs and started to spin songs like Dragging My Heels, Soul Makossa, Tamiko Jones—‘Can’t Live “Without You, Baby,’” and the eternal classic “Woman” by “Barabas”. That was the closest thing to being there myself. I can just imagine the magical vibe that was in the room and try to create something deep, sexy, weird, and with a special spirit, and to feel something from what we all heard in the loft mythology.”
