her mother. Despite the challenges, Oprah's determination and resilience shone through by getting a full time schorlarship to Tennessee State University.
Oprah rose to fame and quickly earned the household name "The Oprah Whinfrey Show " in 1986 debuted, becoming the highest-rated television program for it kind. For 25 years Oprah tackled tough topics, sharing stories of hope and resilience.
