📣‼️ ATTN: Kids and Parents:
Drivers continue to express concern about Kids on scooters‼️📣

Its all hands on deck and reminders are important. Reminders that stop signs 🛑 also apply to scooters and for everyone to watch closely for traffic.
The kids were told a driver looks both ways before turning and the scooters are so fast they show up without warning after the road was first clear.
❗️Reminder to cross the road at crossways and not to zoom across the middle.
❗️To look and then look again.

Please remind your kiddos of our safety rules we discussed before school got out during Bike Safety we also talked about safety with their super cool scooters 🛴

There have been some close calls that are 💯 avoidable. Scary on all accounts.

Reminders from parents goes a long ways. If you see something, say something.

Let’s have a safe summer! ☀️
Please share and have conversations. 🛴

This week's Manly Signal includes information on Central Springs Holiday concerts.
The Nora Springs Elementary concert listed in the Signal has already taken place, and will not be held on December 21.
Two of the concerts, the high school and Manly elementary feature the wrong dates, but the correct days of the week.
The high school concert is set for this evening, Thursday, December 12, at 6:15 p.m.
The Manly Elementary concert will take place this Monday, December 16, at 6 p.m.

The Signal apologizes for the error and hopes everyone enjoys the concerts.

The area is in the midst of holiday celebrations. That includes some beautiful and impressive lighting displays throughout the area.
The Manly Signal is holding a contest, inviting people to share their displays. Just email us at [email protected] or comment on the lighting post on our page with your address, as well as a picture if you would like.
Or if you have seen a display that is worth sharing, please share the address, as well as a picture if you have one.
The lights should be in Manly or the surrounding communities and rural areas.
We will be sharing some of the displays in an upcoming issue or issues of the Signal.
We will also pick a winner, with some input from comments on pictures on our page, or on email suggestions.
The winner will receive a free subscription or renewal to the Manly Signal, as well as a subscription to gift to someone else.
