With the long string of record temp days over in North Texas, working in the taxidermy shop has been hard! Most folks dont realize the shop that Macey and Braden work in is 120years old with no AC and no heater. So in the winter--- its COLD! 🥶In the summer--- Its BEING BAKED LIKE A TOASTED CHEEZER TYPE HOT!🔥🥵😂 But outside, there's wind!💨 So this week, they have been fleshing, mounting, and skinning animals outside at Maceys house! It may be hot--- But the work dont stop! 🫡Two different deer on the fleshing beam and a big ol Wastusi on the skinning table!! *Macey helped butcher out this Watusi at the Butcher Shop earlier today*

Every ear pro option I’ve tried has tradeoffs.

Foam plugs, muffs, electronic in-ear options — they all solve one problem but create another.

Now I’m testing custom TETRA hearing protection over time to see whether it protects my hearing, lets me hear what matters, and actually improves the shooting and hunting experience enough to justify the cost.
