Didn't wake up from last night's debauchery at Happy Skalidays Music Festival @ Keystone Stage until around 3pm (A wise man once said "When people tell I'll regret that in the mornin'....I sleep 'til noon...I sleep 'til noon).
Pulled the shades up on the window over my bed...fu***ng snow. Regardless, I have to nurse this still semi lingering hangover with food and coffee.
On my way, dreading having to walk at least 8 more blocks to a different breakfast spot, I found this lil cozy spot called The Retro Cafe Scranton literally only 3 or 4 blocks from home on Capouse Ave. across from On & On.
The food was amazing, the coffee they use (roasted locally by Black and Brass Coffee co. in Honesdale, PA) was a perfect match for the sweet taste of the oatmeal raisin cookie they serve, and the place is most definitely a progressive spot that welcomes everybody and doesn't rush you out the door, even though you're that guy who showed up like....15-20 mins before closing (which I greatly apologize for. I stumbled upon the shop randomly and didn't check the hrs before walking in). I was just so happy to find exactly what I needed that prevented me from walking in the snow further. A beacon in the darkness.
Definitely gonna be my new favorite spot and I definitely suggest everyone go check them out and support them.
