📖 UNDERSTANDING ISLAM SERIES - Episode 1
Did You Know? Muslims Also Believe in Jesus (Isa)?

Many people are surprised to learn that Muslims, not only love and respect Prophet Muhammad but also love and respect Jesus (peace be upon all of them).

In fact, belief in Jesus is an essential part of the Islamic faith. A Muslim cannot reject Jesus and still claim to believe in all of Allah's prophets.

Muslims believe Jesus was one of the greatest prophets and messengers of Allah, rather than God Himself or the son of God.

The Qur'an speaks highly of both Jesus and Mary, and an entire chapter of the Qur'an is named after Mary (surah Maryam).

"Indeed, the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, was only a messenger of Allah..." [Qur'an 4:171]

Our hope is that the coming Islamic series helps readers, especially our Muslim brothers and sisters and truth seekers, better understand the true teachings of Islam through authentic sources and thoughtful learning.

"O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another..." [Quran 49:13]

May peace and blessings be upon all the prophets of Allah.

🌟 --- THE 10 BEST DAYS OF THE YEAR ARE HERE! --- 🌟

Did you miss out on your spiritual goals during Ramadhan?
Did the days slip by too fast, leaving you wishing you had done more?

Do not despair. Allah is giving you a golden second chance right now.

The first 10 days of Zulhijjah are structurally more virtuous than the days of Ramadhan.

While we often focus heavily on the nights of Ramadan, the DAYS of Zulhijjah hold an unmatched status.

The doors of mercy are wide open again, and your past shortcomings do not define your current potential.

No matter how far away you feel, these days are your ultimate comeback.

📖 DIVINE PROOF: WHY THESE DAYS ARE UNMATCHED
💥AN OATH FROM THE ALMIGHTY

When Almighty Allah swears an oath by something, it signifies its immense greatness and importance.

ولفجر
وَلَيَالٍ عَشۡرٖ
"By the dawn; And [by] ten nights."— Surah Al-Fajr [89:1-2]

The leading companions and scholars of Islam, including Ibn Abbas, confirmed that these "ten nights" refer specifically to the first ten days of Zulhijjah.

⚡ REWARDS MAGNIFIED BEYOND MEASURE

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) explicitly stated that no other days feature rewards as heavy as these.

“There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days.”
The people asked, “Not even Jihad for the sake of Allah?”
He replied, “Not even Jihad for the sake of Allah, except in the case of a man who went out to fight giving himself and his wealth up for the cause, and returned with nothing.” [Sahih Al-Bukhari]

⚡ACTION PLAN: 4 WAYS TO SECURE YOUR BLESSINGS

If you are not performing the Hajj pilgrimage in Makkah, reap the blessings of these days.

Here is how you can capture the rewards from home:

🔹 FLOOD YOUR TONGUE WITH DHIKR:
Abundantly recite Subhanallah, Alhamdulillah, La ilaha illallah, and Allahu Akbar.

🔹 WIPE CLEAN TWO YEARS OF SINS: Fasting on the Day of Arafah expiates the sins of the past year and the coming year (Sahih Muslim).

🔹 SUPERCHARGE YOUR CHARITY: Feed the poor, support a local mosque, or help someone in financial distress.

🔹 ELEVATE YOUR DAILY CONNECTION: Focus on your five daily prayers and add voluntary Sunnah prayers.

📅 MARK YOUR 2026 CALENDAR!
Don't let these specific dates slide past you without a clear plan:

🗓️ Monday, 18 May 2026: 1st Day of Zulhijjah 1447 AH
🌙 Tuesday, 26 May 2026: 9th Zulhijjah - The Holy Day of Arafah (The ultimate day for fasting and dua)
🎉 Wednesday, 27 May 2026: Eidul Adha

🕋 THE ULTIMATE SPIRITUAL MASTERCLASS

Scholars note that these ten days are unique because they combine all primary pillars of Islam simultaneously: prayer, fasting, charity, and pilgrimage.

This convergence happens at no other time of the year.

If you have been waiting for a sign to restart, reset, and return to Allah, this is it.

Let’s not let these days slip away unnoticed.

Start your intentions today, increase your worship, and share this reminder to inspire others!

What is Tiyaarah?

Tiyaarah (الطِّيَرَة) refers to believing that certain things are omens that bring bad luck or good luck, and then acting based on that belief.

In pre-Islamic Arabia, people would look at birds. If a bird flew in a certain direction, they would decide whether to travel or not. Islam came and removed this mindset completely.

The Prophet ﷺ said: “Tiyaarah is shirk.” (Reported by Sunan Abu Dawood)

What it really means?

It becomes shirk when a person believes:

• Something other than Allah can cause harm or benefit on its own
• A sign or event can control the future

Because in Islam: Only Allah controls outcomes, not signs, numbers, or coincidences.

Examples of Tiyaarah

• Thinking a black cat crossing your path means something bad will happen
• Cancelling plans because you “feel it’s unlucky”
• Believing a certain day, number, or person brings bad luck
• Assuming your whole day will go wrong because of one negative event

Important distinction

If a thought just crosses your mind but you ignore it and don’t act on it, then you are not sinful. That’s natural.

The Prophet ﷺ taught that Allah removes these thoughts through tawakkul (trust in Him), as mentioned in Jami at-Tirmidhi.

What to do instead?

Replace that feeling with trust in Allah and say:

اللَّهُمَّ لَا طَيْرَ إِلَّا طَيْرُكَ، وَلَا خَيْرَ إِلَّا خَيْرُكَ، وَلَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُكَ

Allahumma la tayra illa tayruk, wa la khayra illa khayruk, wa la ilaha ghayruk.

“O Allah, there is no omen except what You decree, no good except Your good, and none has the right to be worshipped but You.”

This dua is reported in Sunan Abu Dawood.

When to recite it

• When sudden negative thoughts or fears arise
• When feelings of superstition appear
• When beginning something and an uneasy assumption enters the mind

In simple words

Tiyaarah is not just noticing a sign, It is believing that the sign has power.

Islam teaches: Nothing has power except Allah, and everything happens by His decree.

One Message from All Prophets

From Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon them all), God sent many prophets throughout history to guide humanity.

Though they lived in different times and places, their message was always the same: Believe in the One God and worship Him alone.

None of the prophets ever asked people to worship them. Instead, they called people to worship the Creator — the One who created the heavens, the earth, and all that exists.

Muslims believe that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the final messenger, who confirmed the message of the earlier prophets.

The Quran reminds us:
"And We certainly sent into every nation a messenger, saying: Worship Allah (The true God) and avoid Taghut (all other deities / false god)." (Quran 16:36)

A simple and timeless message:
One God. One message. One humanity.

May we all be guided to understand and appreciate this shared message of truth and unity.
