Residents in Merafong can expect renewed focus on healthcare service delivery following a recent oversight visit by Gauteng MEC for Health and Wellness, Faith Mazibuko.

The MEC visited several healthcare facilities in the Merafong Subdistrict under the West Rand District Health Services, including Khutsong Community Health Centre, Khutsong Extension 5 Clinic, Thusanang Clinic, and Kokosi Clinic.

Focus on Infrastructure and Service Delivery

The purpose of the visit was to assess ongoing infrastructure developments and identify challenges that may be delaying progress, particularly at Khutsong Extension 5 Clinic, which remains unfinished. This facility has been a point of concern for residents who rely on accessible and fully functional healthcare services.

Mazibuko emphasized the importance of completing infrastructure projects on time to ensure communities receive quality healthcare.
