The vehicle involved in a northwest Miami-Dade hit-and-run that killed 10-year-old Peyton and critically injured her older brother, Brent, has been located, authorities announced Saturday.

According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, Traffic Homicide Unit detectives located the vehicle believed to have struck the siblings Wednesday night. The vehicle is now in the agency’s custody.

No arrest had been announced as of Saturday. Investigators are urging the driver involved in the fatal crash to come forward and turn themselves in.

The siblings were riding an e-bike near Northwest 117th Street and Northwest Seventh Avenue when they were struck at approximately 8:40 p.m. Wednesday, according to authorities.

Investigators said the driver was operating a silver or gray 2009-2012 Nissan Versa northbound on Northwest Seventh Avenue and approaching Northwest 117th Street. The driver allegedly made a left turn onto Northwest 117th Street and struck Peyton and Brent as they traveled along the roadway on the e-bike.

🚨 Oregon Coast Underwater Volcano Closely Watched As Scientists Track Possible Massive Eruption:

Scientists are continuing to monitor Axial Seamount, an active underwater volcano located approximately 300 miles off the Oregon Coast, as researchers study whether changes beneath the Pacific Ocean can help forecast its next eruption.

Axial Seamount sits roughly 4,600 feet beneath the ocean surface along the Juan de Fuca Ridge, an underwater tectonic boundary where the Pacific and Juan de Fuca plates are pulling apart and new oceanic crust is formed.

The volcano has erupted three times in recent decades, in 1998, 2011 and 2015. Those repeated eruptions have made Axial an important natural laboratory for scientists studying volcanic activity and the possibility of forecasting eruptions before they occur.

Unlike most volcanoes, Axial Seamount is monitored through instruments installed on the seafloor and connected to shore through the Ocean Observatories Initiative’s Regional Cabled Array. The system allows researchers to examine seismic activity, pressure, seafloor movement and other measurements in near real time.

One of the most important measurements is the inflation of the volcano’s caldera. As magma accumulates beneath Axial, the seafloor rises. Scientists compare the rate of that uplift with patterns recorded before earlier eruptions.

Researchers have previously observed that Axial’s inflation and earthquake activity increased before its 1998, 2011 and 2015 eruptions. That pattern led scientists to believe the volcano might provide an unusual opportunity to test whether an eruption could be forecast using real-time data.

However, the volcano’s activity has not followed a simple schedule.

FL Couple Face Death Penalty In Alleged Six-Year Child Abuse Case:

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier says prosecutors will seek the death penalty against Keisha Monique Epps, 51, and Tamra Marshon Stewart, 37, who are accused of confining and abusing four children inside the cab of a tractor-trailer for more than six years.

Epps and Stewart, who are engaged, were arrested Aug. 6 and face multiple charges involving sexual battery, molestation and child neglect. The children included two boys and two girls, ranging in age from 5 to 9 years old.

Russell "Rusty" Haskins, 64, of Altavista, Virginia, and Jeffrey Hudnell, 52, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, have been identified as the truck drivers killed in an explosive crash involving oxygen tanks Thursday night on Interstate 81 in Frederick County, Virginia, near Wi******er and the West Virginia border.

According to Virginia State Police, the crash occurred shortly after 8 p.m. when Mario Saldivar-Romaro, of Rockingham, Virginia, allegedly failed to yield to traffic while entering southbound I-81. Investigators said Saldivar-Romaro crossed two lanes and struck a tractor-trailer.

The tractor-trailer then veered across the interstate median and into the path of a northbound truck carrying oxygen tanks.

The collision caused the oxygen tanks to explode, damaging multiple vehicles in the area. A Frederick County Sheriff’s Department vehicle and a civilian vehicle in a parking lot east of the interstate were among those damaged.

Quazone Elijawun Taylor, 34, of Bradenton, Florida, has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of Starr Nicole Lashua, 44, of Bradenton, while already jailed on an attempted murder charge involving the stabbing of a 15-year-old boy.

Manatee County homicide detectives obtained a murder warrant for Taylor in connection with Lashua’s death. The warrant was served Thursday, Sept. 10, at the Manatee County Jail, where Taylor was already being held on the attempted murder case.

Taylor had been in custody since Aug. 24, six days after investigators said the unidentified 15-year-old boy was stabbed multiple times outside a home in Bradenton.

According to authorities, the teenager suffered stab wounds to his neck and upper body. Taylor was arrested in connection with that incident and remains charged with attempted murder in the stabbing case.

As part of the investigation into the teenager’s stabbing, detectives with the Manatee Homicide Investigation Unit conducted witness interviews and collected forensic evidence. In a Sept. 11 update, investigators said the evidence ultimately connected Taylor to Lashua’s death.

John “Johnny” Crapsey, 58, of Toledo, has been identified as the motorcyclist killed in a late-night crash Friday in Springfield Township, Lucas County, near the Toledo metropolitan area of Ohio.

State troopers were called to State Route 2 near Eber Road shortly after 11 p.m. following reports of a serious motorcycle crash.

Officials said Crapsey was riding his motorcycle on State Route 2 when he was struck by an eastbound car that was turning left.

Crapsey was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was not identified in the initial report, and officials had not released information concerning that driver’s condition.

It's official! Nashville International Airport will be renamed in honor of country music icon Dolly Parton after the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority voted unanimously Friday to begin the process of changing the airport’s name.

The board voted 6-0 on September 11 to modify its existing naming policy, marking the first formal step toward honoring Parton at the primary airport serving Nashville and Middle Tennessee.

Although the vote supports renaming the airport, the final name has not yet been determined. Airport officials said the decision begins a broader process that will involve additional planning, coordination and approval from the Federal Aviation Administration.

A.B. Quintanilla III has sued his sister, Suzette, and Q Productions entities, alleging he has been denied more than $1 million in profits he says he is entitled to receive from the entertainment legacy of their late sister, Tejano superstar Selena.

The lawsuit centers on a family agreement executed in the months following Selena's death in 1995. According to the complaint, A.B. is a party to the agreement and an intended beneficiary who is entitled to 25% of net profits generated by Selena's entertainment properties.

Those entertainment properties include Selena's name, voice, image, likeness and other intellectual-property rights associated with her career and legacy, according to the lawsuit.

New Jersey woman Jaclyn D. Diiorio, 28, has been federally indicted in connection with an alleged $12,000 murder-for-hire plot targeting her former boyfriend, a Philadelphia police officer, and his daughter, more than a year after she was initially arrested in the case.

Diiorio allegedly offered approximately $12,000 for the killings and later handed $500 in cash to a man she believed was a contract killer. Investigators say the man was actually a confidential informant who had alerted authorities to the alleged murder-for-hire plot.

The case began in March 2025, shortly after Diiorio and O’Hanlon ended their relationship, according to prosecutors and previously filed court documents. The two had reportedly met while Diiorio was working as his barber.

Authorities say Diiorio connected with the confidential informant on Tinder and began communicating with him by telephone and text message. Prosecutors allege she discussed killing O’Hanlon and his daughter and agreed to pay for the double murder.

Lindsay Clancy remains on 24/7, one-on-one su***de watch following the mistrial in her Massachusetts murder case, as her attorney, Kevin Reddington, seeks to prevent a second trial in the deaths of her three young children. Clancy remains charged with murder.

Clancy is currently being held in a psychiatric facility and remains under constant observation, with a staff member assigned to monitor her following the conclusion of the closely watched trial. Reddington told NBC News that Clancy remains suicidal and that he worries about her every day.

The development comes less than a week after Judge William Sullivan declared a mistrial when the 12-member jury failed to reach a unanimous verdict after roughly seven days of deliberations.
