It is incredibly hard to leave our people (& the islands) of Maine but knowing we’re returning to a Crockett family reunion is really helping! 👯‍♀️❤️‍🔥🔮 We hit the road tomorrow to travel back to the best little town in the Bay and we hope to see a lot of friends & family at on AUGUST 17TH to welcome us home!! Celebrating the one and only all day today by loving big, scouring Craigslist, being intentional, ogling microphones, listening to analog music, and just generally taking my time to tend to the important things in life. 💝 Here’s the smallest collection of photos and videos documenting a world of magical memories with this man. Recording engineer, song channeler, uncle, true blue friend, dog father, boat captain, big dreamer, & the best damn partner on this long road that I could ask for. NEW ORLEANS you truly were a dream. Thank you to all our people who showed up tough to celebrate the full moon with us along the Mississippi. 🌕 🔮 we’re completely wrecked and oh so happy. There’s too much to share, but hopefully this set of photos and videos is a good start… thank you to all the musicians, poets, and DJs that played incredible sets, including our featured acts & who performed through a neighborhood power outage that hit right at moonrise 🤔🕯️ hard to imagine fitting more magic into 5 days - sunsets on the levee, songs by the campfire, dancing by candlelight, poolside cocktails, Cajun brunch, jazz in the streets, new songs, old friends, our sweet Lael’s birthday, and another incredible release show for the record books (and I guess also in honor of the record books 😏). THANK YOU for hosting us and making this dream come true. WE LOVE YOU now we all get to sleep thank goodness. 💫

We just touched down in Louisiana and are already feeling that full moon fire in our eyes!! 🔮👁️🌕 Saturday’s show started with this guy 👆having a dream to do a New Orleans release show for No Man Is An Island 2 in collaboration with … we’d probably talked about it loosely for over a year before the book even released! It kept getting pushed and pushed until finally the April 12th date was on the table and seemed to work for everyone. As these things tend to unfold now with Run With The Moon, we realized the date of course happened to be a full moon and there was no way of getting around organizing a full blown family affair in the crescent city 🌙 it’s a been long time coming, especially with sisters of song & Sarah Rose now living in New Orleans, and we can’t imagine a better place to sing & dance into the night than a backyard along the Mississippi. ❤️‍🔥 BAY AREA SHOW ALERT ❤️‍🔥 this devastating lineup has been a longtime dream and it feels very fitting that it’s to celebrate one of our favorite DIY venues in the Bay…💋THE LONG KISS GOODBYE is a farewell love lettter to a very special Oakland space so many people have created art & music in over the last decade. There is a beautiful new chapter ahead, but first we must celebrate the closing out of this one, with one final party!

PLEASE JOIN US on Sat. April 26th for an evening of song & dance… we can’t think of anyone better than sweethearts of the underground and to reverberate off the warehouse walls as we sing & sway & fade into the night! Most of you may already know this, but this is *a rare and perfect bill.* After a tough & tender serenade, we’ll turn up with Standard Parts mainstay DJ YNG GMA to dance us to the end of love ❤ (last pic is an example of what the dance party will feel like 🪩)

We have a very special line-up for the occasion (in, roughly, this order)…

An all-star opening set with RWTM hosts & backed by a big beautiful family band, led by 🥁 a poetry reading from 💫 a full band set from Louisiana accordion player and bandleader (bring your dancing shoes!), and an incredible line-up of selectors playing records for our final No Man Is An Island book release celebration - expect crucial Jamaican, R&B, gospel, soul (& beyond!) tunes from Prince Pauper (Domino Sound), & 🥵

While Run With The Moon may be happening less frequently these days, the heart of the event remains steady, and we hope to gather with old & new friends and celebrate music & community in one of the most incredible cities in the world. The event will be outside under the big, bright Pink Moon at Deslonde Street Studios (exact address to be sent to ticket holders). CAPACITY IS LIMITED! A spirit-altering trip to Japan takes a little while to process but trying to get a few highlights out there to remember all the joy and thank all the beautiful people. Dedicated to the 2nd half of our trip, Tokyo & Nagoya, and the incredible people that took care of us day after day: so much gratitude for the unbelievable nights of music, food, & community. 🙏🙏 I never thought I’d use 20 pictures in a post but this trip has tested my limits… scroll through for (in no particular order) clips, highlights, custom soundsystems, poetic Google translations, handmade kimono sneakers, chanting down Babylon, a cameo, jazz kissas, high end vending machines, the wild streets of Osaka, Coogi sweaters, Tokyo elevators, and if you make it to the end… a little hip hop and couple hints about an announcement on the horizon 🌕😏

Kyoto you stole our hearts 💞 music, art, temples, water, zines, unbelievable food 🫠 a romantic city, a stunning countryside, and the most incredible people. Thank you for being such generous hosts. We will be back!!

It’s a big month for celebrating and it includes the day he entered this world! Happy birthday Mo, thanks for everything you do to support your people, share incredible music, and keep the true spirit of creativity alive. What an absolute gift to travel the world in your orbit! 🪐 Moman’s birthday is already over in Japan but hoping that our friends & fam celebrate him today in the States (and beyond!) by putting on your favorite outsider record and doing some deep research on anything that moves you. Love you Mo!!

BIG BIRTHDAY WISHES to the one & only 💗 Very grateful that we got to spend so much time with you this year, and that the Bay Area got to show you (once again) how much we love to see you on the stage!! Just a little retrospective here of your past year in California… packed houses, back porches, late nights, & wholesome moments. Beyond what goes on in the bars & venues, thanks for being such a great friend, listener, and co-conspirator. What would I do without your laugh, your insights, your audio messages?! It’s hard to have you so far away, but somehow it feels like we’ve only grown closer through the years apart. 🥹Anywayyyy, we adore you, we love you, and we trust New Orleans will celebrate you proper allll weekend 🍸 💅🏼
