Sunday, September 20th we celebrate Kit Center’s “Marie” with so many of our favorite people!! The show will be at a secret special location along the Crockett waterfront (you must trust us) and feature Kit Center and his band of heavyweights (swipe for sound bite), sweetheart of the cosmic rodeo Desiree Cannon Doores (in town from New Orleans!), and the only band that could possibly bring it all home: Levi Thomas & the Tenderness (aka Levi Thomas & his all 🌟 lineup) ☄️

The show starts at 5pm with everyone’s favorite DJ Morgan “Moman” Nixon kicking things off - we know he wouldn’t miss this party, but still feeling very grateful that he’ll be traveling all the way from Hawai’i to play records before, after, and between bands. 🎛️ PLUS Kit’s right hand man Ben Bourdon will be sharing a story or two, and generally being the maître d of the night. 🏴‍☠️

There will be food & drinks!! Menu to be shared closer to the show, however we are in very good hands with Cassaundra Einolander chef of our wildest dreams, at the helm 🥙🥪🥟🍪

Advance tickets are a must for this one! Only ticket holders will receive the address to the show. You can also purchase your of copy of “Marie” alongside your ticket and pick it up at the event (you even save $5)! Reserved seating is nearly sold out, but reach out if you physically need a seat and we will work something out. 🎟️

Kids are welcome, but must be more closely supervised at this particular beautiful location (as opposed to running wild and feral, always our preference). Parents, feel free to touch base with me for more info. We love all the dogs, though unfortunately they can’t be at this venue.

❤️‍🔥 RELEASE ANNOUNCEMENT!!❤️‍🔥 It is truly an honor to introduce “Marie”, the debut album from Kit Center & his incredible band!! Marie officially releases Sept. 22nd, but today you can listen to the first single & pre-order the vinyl 🪎

This is a foundation Long Road Society release if there ever was one! Many of you have been following along with us since the early days, and know that Kit Center is at the heart of all we do - as a label partner & our recording engineer, he does everything from shipping out your records to hosting studio sessions for our artists. And when we started the label nearly a decade ago, releasing Kit’s songs was a major part of the inspiration... which makes getting this beautiful record into your hands extremely special to us!!🔮

Marie was recorded between Long Road Society HQ in Crockett and on the Big Sur coast at Sundog Studios, high on the mountain above the purple sands of the Pacific. It features Kit’s band of heavy-hitters Jessie Leigh Smith, pat michael murphy, Bryan Lovett, & Dust Collector as well as an unreal roster of special guests: Melissa Salmon (Kit’s mom), Sheffield Home-Again, Desiree Cannon, Mikayla McVey, Madeline Lopes, Noelle Fiore, Sabine McCalla, Levi Thomas, Sam Doores, Andy Lambert, Morgan “Moman” Nixon, & Harrison Basch 😮‍💨

And in case you didn’t notice, the cover is an otherworldly work of art, hand-painted with the utmost care and intention by Micah Morris 🎨

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE who believed in this beautiful delta daydream with us!! It’s been weeks since we were all there together in the haunted, hallowed rooms of the Ryde Hotel but the magic is etched deep in our memories ❤️‍🔥 what started as an outsider vision and a desire to have the most epic venue for a McVey-McFarling bill truly turned into the best, bizarre family reunion we could have hoped for. It’s taken so long to post these pics because Ginger Fierstein took too many incredible shots & it felt impossible to choose!! (This is likely the 1st of 2 daydream retrospectives). All photos by Ginger except the ZC/DC gazebo shots, which are obviously inferior and taken by late night amateurs 😅

Thank you to the incredible artists and all the players!! 😮‍💨 Mikayla Katherine McVey Kelly McFarling Mild Universe maniacal michael Dust Collector Skyway Man & Leonie Evans what a night (and morning) of huge talent. So grateful to our BTS team, most notably Bryan Lovett Drew Fisher & Kit Center for all the time, energy, and love it took to make everything sound and look so good!! And of course it wouldn’t have been the party it was without nightfall.hifi and its 🥇operator pat michael murphy 🔊🔊 what a gift to have this soundsystem in the family. LATE BIRTHDAY WISHES TO THE MAN AT THE CONTROLS 🎛️🎚️🎞️Thankfully there’s not a lot of service out here on the extraterrestrial highway so we’ve been getting plenty of mountains, rivers, and transmissions without all the static 🏔️ but still wanted to share a few pictures & sound bites of the sweetest man on earth! The calm to my chaos, the late night to my early morning 🥹 here’s him doing a few of his favorite things - making music with friends, snuggling with our boy, being on the (long) open road. It’s a big year for KC, with lots of news that we’ll be announcing very soon, but for now we’re just celebrating that he’s here, right now, on this planet with us 🌍 👽 I love you, we all love you ❤️‍🔥

It’s an honor to release this masterpiece from and we can’t wait for it to be spinning on your turntables 🔊🔊 feeling very fortunate that we got to celebrate its arrival at Delta Daydream with a opening ceremony on .hifi and a late night otherworldly DC set at the gazebo. 🛸 (🙏 to & for these captures)

It’s been a dream to etch some of Dust Collector’s music onto vinyl and we couldn’t be happier with how this LP came together. Pre-orders are packed and ship today!! Gloomy Crooners is the result of explorations in jazz ballads and slow jams, through a foggy, beat maker’s lens. It’s built from the sounds of organic instruments, synthesizers, and field recordings - layered, sampled, chopped and dragged through the mud. The LP drifts through sounds that feel like: being comfortably lonesome, falling in love, dimly-lit romance, heartache, long drives down a moonlit coast, longing, pining, and playful eyebrows. Written, produced, and engineered by .cirimele ❤️‍🔥

EVERYTHING’S HAPPENING ALL AT ONCE ❤️‍🔥 end of a big day post to announce that both the record and the new Long Road Society tote bags landed in our doorstep today! Big thank you to for always getting our projects in our hands right on time & impeccably done (regardless of our unreasonable schedules) and to our guyyyy for delivering on these gorgeous totes 😭 2 colors, 2 sizes, 2 neurotically different yet almost the same designs.

We wished & hoped for this record to be at the Ryde with us and we can’t wait to celebrate it with Dust Collector & you all on Saturday night aka Sunday morning. This beauty comes out on Tuesday, May 26th but you can take it home with you a few days early!! Or if you’re as soon as today 😏

And these bags 🫠 This pyramid represents all the artists on the label along with symbols of shows & projects that are deeply connected to the spirit of our community. WHO FEELS IT KNOWS IT is a forever guiding principle for long road and we’re very happy to now be able to carry it around with us everywhere go. For now… only available at this weekend 💐

INTRODUCING THE LONG ROAD SOCIETY FAN CLUB!! 🪭 These arrived today and I just couldn’t wait a minute longer to show them off 💅 This idea started with .e.r.o.c.h.a.r.i.s.m.a as a little ember on a hot day, while we were fanning ourselves in the shade, probably cursing the heat & talking about the how our fans weren’t big enough 😅 Inspiration quickly struck - do we start a fan club?! Where you get an actual fan?! It’s the first “merch” idea that I’ve been excited about in a long time and features some classic long road society iconography - past, present, and future (don’t recognize some?? stay tuned to the channel 😏) These were pulled from album covers, posters, buttons, t-shirts, & liner notes and represent the ever-expanding web of talented musical & visual artists that we’re so lucky to be surrounded by.

THANK YOU to everyone who has contributed their creative work to our projects over the years, it’s overwhelmingly special for us to see so much of it in one place: .e.r.o.c.h.a.r.i.s.m.a .weller 🙏

And BIG THANK YOU to Moman who really helped me execute this vision every step of the way. 😵‍💫

This has been a lonnnggg time coming: we are beyond excited to announce as the newest artist on our roster & the forthcoming release of his seamless masterpiece Gloomy Crooners on limited-edition vinyl! .cirimele - the man behind the Dust Collector mask - has been in the Long Road Society family for years, as a recording engineer, studio musician, guitar player, and just all-around supportive, highly-talented community member. After countless days of soundtracking our lives with beat tapes & guitar tones, we’re honored to finally be putting some of his incredible music out into the world! This is Dust Collector’s first official vinyl record (though the DC discography is decades long) and we couldn’t be happier that it’s coming out on Long Road Society. 👏 🫂 The album releases on Tuesday, May 26th, but vinyl and digital pre-orders start today!!
