I have always loved recording all aspects of my life, particularly my travels, by photographing them in order that I can look back and be reminded of the places that I have been and the people who joined me on the way. You're hiking a mountain trail, but nobody knows how long the trail is or how high the mountain is.

The mountain is steep and it's a difficult climb but you're determined to reach the top because you can't stay on the steep path forever, it's not safe.

You reach a plateau, a place you can rest, look at the view and set up camp.

It's pleasant for a while but you know you're not at the top of the mountain yet and you can't stay here.

As tempting as it is, it's not the destination you had in mind, nice as the view is you still need to turn the next corner and continue the climb. Even when you know it's probably just as hard as the first bit, maybe even steeper...

But the view from the top will be worth it.
