Nepal has reportedly refused rescue assistance from India, China, and several other countries, saying its own army and security agencies are capable of handling the crisis.
But when a major disaster strikes, the priority should always be saving lives, not proving strength. If foreign rescue teams have better equipment, more manpower, or special expertise that can speed up relief operations, accepting their help should never be considered a weakness.
In times of crisis, countries should stand together and support people in need. If India, China, and other nations are ready to send trained rescue teams, why not use every available resource to save more lives and provide faster relief?
