Hematopoiesis Press hē′mă-tō-poy-ē′sis is the body's method of creating new blood. How do we claim bodies through language, in a world that diminishes and erases so many bodies?

As a publication, our intention is to offer refuge to this somatic process while disrupting dominant conversations on (dis)embodiment. hē′mă-tō-poy-ē′sis:

What is written, and being written, in the body and how do we express our physiology? How can we imbue language with multiple layers of meaning to dismantle dominant narratives of embodiment? How, like the continuous process of making new blood, do we create meaning in a world of violence? What exists in the borderlands of body?
