Righto well an update on me for those who have an interest in my streaming.

I have called a halt to streaming for the immediate future as I am suffering from severe tinnitus, and my doctor has advised that wearing a headset and drilling sound at volume into my earholes is not conducive to lessening the impacts of it on my life.

By way of describing my tinnitus, if you have ever been around a tree full of lorakeets at dusk and heard their constant screaming, multiply that by 5 and you have the sound in my ears when trying to get to sleep. During the day it is merely a constant ~ 2.5Khz siren in my ears, tolerable but not desirable.

So for me streaming is out of the question for now and until it abates, then I need to work out how to manage it and balance my exposure to keep it under control.

Rightio update number 652

I'm still building my new PC, had a minor 'butt clench' moment on Wednesday when I chucked a restart at it and it came back seeing my restart and raising me a black screen. Panic averted when the Metabox tech support guys told me that Win 11 had a recent security patch which 'caused that kind of s**t'. So I rolled back Microsoft's s**t and went to have a couple of whiskys to sooth the nerves.

Yesterday I resigned my CCship and parted ways with WG, and I feel good about that today, as I continue to take my time building my new PC. I must get Mrs. Ziggy to take picture of me being all 'methodical and s**t' because those that know me know that that is a rarity indeed.

Going on another holiday next week and when I come home I will be testing out a few different games to try streaming.

So my return to streaming is getting closer but seeing as though I don't have WG to worry about anymore I will take my time coming back.

Today I did a thing... Something I've been putting off for a while now, but in the end it was doing my head in so I had to rip the bandaid off and move on.

I have officially resigned from the WoT Asia CC programme.

There are many reasons why I've done it, but most I can't say because I am still bound by NDA.

What I can say, because it is obvious to everyone, is I was disgusted with the abandonment of the Asia players and community by WG and felt I was no longer in a position where I could represent the game faithfully to the community and there was no recourse to represent the community back to WG.

I hold no ill will toward Conan or any of the team he works with as they are doing what has to be done to enact a business decision made by WG HQ, and at the end of the day WG is a business.

It is a business which no longer aligns with my values, so I have moved on.

Well this week has NOT gone to plan...no further work done on my new PC as Mrs Ziggy had other plans for the couple of days around my Birthday (which was yesterday).
Three days of being spoiled rotten has now officially ended. (I'm sure I just heard my liver cry out 'thank fk for that!' 🤣).
Oh, and guess who forgot that his drivers license needed renewing? There's a great way of spending the morning of your birthday, sitting in the Department of Transport office staring at your service ticket and willing the number to be called, so you can pay 200 bucks to have a really crappy picture taken of yourself to remember the occasion by.

Anyway tomorrow's another day and I'll get back to my PC over the Easter weekend and try to get my s**t together with it. Bare with me folks, normal(ish) service will be resumed as soon as possible.

Righto well it's been a while, so time for an update.
As most of you know towards the end of January my old PC started to cry enough, and I finally took delivery of my new PC on the 21st of March. I'm busily trying to set it up at the moment so I can get back to streaming, but I have run into one or two issues with Obs (streaming software). I will hopefully have that sorted over the next day or two and then I expect to get back into it.
Intially with Workd of Tanks, but I will be trying some new games as well.
