I was so excited to come home today and find my first harvest of lemongrass was ready in the dehydrator. It was the only ingredient I was waiting on to mix up another batch of my favorite tea!! I recreated a tea from the spice exchange in Des Moines using homegrown/wild foraged ingredients. It's crazy how much more vibrant mine looks. Mine is the first picture, second picture is the store bought tea I recreated. Same ingredients. Visual proof that fresh and homegrown is better!! I need to pick more raspberry leaf now!

In this little town of Aberdeen Washington, there is a memorial park for Kurt Cobain. The bridge in the picture is said to have inspired a song or two. He grew up nearby and spent a lot of time under the bridge. The graffiti is so thick it's chipping off and falling to the ground, which is how I acquired it. It's going to make some pretty cool jewelry I think.
