Few local champions did more for the Providence, Rhode Island's LGBTQ+ community than the late philanthropist Beatrice Temkin, or Bea as she was informally known.

The darling of U.S. presidents, dignitaries, and celebrities, the petite powerhouse was also the matriarch of a large family, including son Joseph R. Paolino, Jr., who ended up joining his family’s real estate development firm. In 2014, the fourth-generation company purchased the National Exchange Bank building, an 1887 Greek Revival meets-Queen Anne heirloom in Downtown Providence’s National Historic District. In 2021, following sweeping renovations, he reintroduced the five-story property as The Beatrice, an elegant 47-room boutique hotel inspired by his mother.

The mayor of Budapest, Gergely Karacsony, is facing a year in prison for allegedly aiding in the planning of the city’s LGBTQ+ Pride march in late June.

According to reports from the BBC, Karacsony attended the protest wearing a rainbow T-shirt featuring the Budapest coat of arms. On Friday, he told supporters at Hungary’s National Bureau of Investigation, "Neither freedom nor love can be banned in Budapest." "If it cannot be banned, it cannot be punished," he continued.

Saint Lucia’s ban on homos*xuality has been declared unconstitutional by the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court in a historic ruling for the LGBTQ+ community.

The court found Saint Lucia’s "buggery" and "gross indecency" laws enshrined in sections 132 and 133 in the nation’s Criminal Code, unconstitutional. Though the laws weren’t strictly enforced, the Human Dignity Trust claims the "mere existence of this provision is itself a violation of human rights and underpins further acts of discrimination."

More Than 100,000 People March In Biggest Trans Pride Event In History.

London Trans+ Pride 2025 saw the largest turnout in its history with over 100,000 people participating. This year’s march theme was "Existence and Resistance," likely in response to the U.K. Supreme Court’s recent ruling that the legal definition of a woman should be based on biological s*x instead of gender identity in non-discrimination laws.

What Will Delta’s AI Pricing Mean For Travelers?

Explore LGBTQ+ San Antonio and discover its vibrant Texan energy.

San Antonio is America’s seventh-largest metropolis, currently boasts 1.5 million people, and two marquee attractions, including The Alamo, the ultimate symbol of Texan independence, and the San Antonio River Walk—15 miles of tantalizing footpaths lined with art installations, riverside restaurants, chirpy electric tourist boats, and tranquil water features. With a citizenry that is nearly two-thirds Hispanic, you better believe the Tex-Mex in this town is top-notch. In fact, San Antonio is a UNESCO-designated Creative City of Gastronomy, one of only two such cities in the United States.

Just over fifty years after its first historic flight, the famous Concorde is being prepared to return to commercial skies by next year.

According to Aviation A2Z, Fly-Concorde Limited hopes to relaunch supersonic passenger services from the U.S. following a big shift in aviation policy. Last month, Donald Trump signed the “Concorde Bill” at Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), which lifted a ban on supersonic flights over land due to sonic boom and environmental concerns. With the ban lifted, the U.S. poises itself to become a leader in the next generation of aerospace innovation.
