Now he’s scrambling to fill positions in the rent guidelines board to undermine, for at least a year, Mamdani’s pledge to freeze the rent. That would be a parting destructive and vindictive shot from this thoroughly corrupt outgoing mayor.

Outgoing New York Mayor Eric Adams is racing to fill key positions before Zohran Mamdani takes office, including on the powerful Rent Guidelines Board, which could undermine the incoming mayor’s pledge to freeze rent.
