Three weeks of little Rusty 🐾

Thought I’d share a little “pupdate” on our 13 week old cockapoo as he settles in to life with us 🥹

🐶 He’s had all his jabs so he’s had his first walks which he loves (mainly sniffing for the entire time)
🐶 He’s learned sit, drop & lay down (which should we do next?)
🐶 He’s *very* food orientated
🐶 He’s slept through the night from the beginning and is never any trouble on his own
🐶 He loves licking ears!
🐶 He’s well and truly in the dino teeth stage atm so we’ve got him lots of chew toys
🐶 Loves a tea towel
🐶 He’s met a few doggy pals so far and seems very confident & adores playing with them
🐶 He continues to do his business outside
🐶 He has selective hearing
🐶 He gives actual cuddles which are so CUTE
🐶 He’s a little unsure of the car so going to keep up the short journeys
🐶 he’s basically the best doggo we could wish for.

Next up for the week ahead:
🐾 Slightly longer walks as he gets older (5 mins for every month) but we go a little longer as he spends 70% of the time standing still sniffing.
🐾 Maybe a walk with another dog
🐾 Trip to the woods for extra sniffs
🐾 Changing up his food
🐾 Finding him the right pet insurance
🐾 Trip to Pets At Home for a ruddy good time & more socialising

Can’t believe we’ll have had him a month next week, it’s flown by. It’s been lovely getting to know each other and he has such a sweet nature which is both calm and playful.

I believe his brother and sister are still available as I’ve been checking in with the breeder, he was such a well rounded pup so I would love to see them in their forever homes too. (Working on Stu to let us have just 2 more 🤭)

It’s a bold statement but this hack has pretty much changed my life!

I know, I know, that sounds dramatic, but if you know what it’s like to wake up during the night and not be able to get back to sleep then this hack could change your life too!

Maybe you’re perimenopausal, maybe you’re stressed, over tired, have insomnia or a lot on your mind. You might find you wake up in the night. I’ve been doing this sleep hack for a couple of weeks and I am blown away with how quickly it works to get me back to sleep!

I am not a doctor or medically trained, but I saw this hack on Instagram and gave it a try and couldn’t believe how well it worked so wanted to share.

In true family life form today, as we reach 14 years of marriage, we’ve spent it running the boys around to their various social engagements, a trip to the vets and working, happy anniversary Stu! 🫶 hope you enjoy celebrating in the rain at football training tonight 🙃

We did manage to pop out for a yummy piece of cake with the boys at lunch and visit the church where we got married while the rain had 5 minutes off, and thought we’d take some impromptu photos as we’ve run out of wedding photos that haven’t been used every year since 🤭

6 years to go til we can do it all again 🫶

That’s a wrap on summer 2025. It was definitely a summer of two halves. The last pic is my fave 🤭

We began the summer months with lots of lovely travel our & .world Vespa road trip around Amalfi was a dream, special events at , interviewing secretary’s of state & Pride Of Britain with , work trips with & friends, matching decor at book launch then enjoying a wonderful girls trip & family holiday in the middle at with great friends.

But then spent the last 5 weeks of the summer holidays being very low key, low mood & low budget & mainly at home with friends over, juggling work & the children and lots of screen time!

Throwing in c0vid, a quiet work period & other ill health hospital trips for both of us too this year, it’s been one of those where you just have to relent and do what you can.

I took the pressure off fully this summer and just allowed the children to be bored and enjoyed our mortgage by staying at home a lot with friends coming and going.

I’m entering the ‘ber months a new dog mum, throwing myself into work when the children go back to school and trying to live as intentionally & softly as possible.

We’ve been keeping a little secret! (No, not pregnant, that ship has well and truly sailed 🤭)

Well worth the wait, and there has been manyyyy years of waiting!!

Will share more soon but safe to say we are all in love and can’t believe we have such a wonderful puppy in our lives!

What’s the best second-hand gem you’ve purchased or thrifted? Mine might just have to be my basil bike, she’s just so pretty 🤍

Buying things second hand gives them a new lease of life, stops them from going to landfill and of course saves you lots of money as a bonus.
There’s sometimes a stigma about buying pre loved but sometimes you can really find so many steals if you shop savvy and look around, have you ever found any decent bargains second-hand? 💸
