A Chic Celebration: Petite Vie Opens in Western Springs, Health & Wellness Issue (Autumn/Fall 2024)

In our Félix Magazine Health & Wellness Issue, we toast the elegant debut of —Chef Paul Virant’s () heartfelt return to French cuisine. On June 11, 2024, the Western Springs gem officially opened its doors, inviting guests into an intimate space inspired by the timeless charm of a Parisian brasserie.

The preview evening, filled with French wines, delicately crafted hors d’oeuvres, and the spirit of community, set the tone for what promises to be one of Chicagoland’s most beloved dining destinations. Evans Scholars and the Impact of Golf on Communities

In our Félix Magazine Health & Wellness Issue, we explore the incredible impact of the Evans Scholars Foundation, the official charity of the 2024 BMW Championship at Castle Pines. As author Sarah Miller reveals, this nearly century-old program—powered by the Western Golf Association ()—has transformed more than 11,000 lives through full tuition and housing scholarships for high-achieving caddies with financial need.

At the 2024 tournament, a hole-in-one from PGA TOUR () star Viktor Hovland led to a scholarship being funded for an aspiring Evans Scholar, underscoring the powerful link between performance on the course and life-changing opportunities off it.

This initiative, born of legendary amateur golfer Chick Evans’ vision, continues to grow through support from players like Hovland, Scottie Scheffler, and Rory McIlroy—and through events like the BMW Championship (), which raised millions to expand access to higher education.

Wyndham Clark: Colorado’s Hometown Hero

In our Félix Magazine Health & Wellness Issue, we spotlight PGA TOUR () standout Wyndham Clark (), whose return to Colorado for the 2024 BMW Championship () was more than a tournament—it was a triumphant homecoming.

Held at the breathtaking Castle Pines Golf Club and presented in collaboration with the Western Golf Association and Evans Scholars Foundation (), this event marked a full-circle moment for Clark. “This is so special,” Clark shared. “I didn’t have a PGA TOUR event here when I was a top player in high school and college, so to be able to play in front of my home crowd now is incredible.”

From the Track to the Heart: The NASCAR Chicago Street Race Returns

From high-speed action to heartfelt moments, the 2024 NASCAR Chicago Street Race delivered a story that went beyond racing. In our Félix Magazine Health & Wellness Issue, writer Austin Ketelsen () takes readers inside the second annual event that lit up downtown Chicago on July 7, 2024—with dramatic turns, a historic win, and meaningful community impact.

After 80 winless starts and a string of injuries, Alex Bowman () roared back to victory in the No. 48 car, sealing a redemptive, emotional win in a race complicated by slick streets and rising pressure. “We’ve kind of sucked ever since,” Bowman admitted post-race. “You start to second-guess if you’re ever going to get a chance to win again.”

With the Windy City as a backdrop, Bowman’s return to glory became the ultimate underdog moment in motorsport—echoed in the laughter, bourbon toasts, and raw relief at the finish line.

But it wasn’t just about the race. NASCAR () and made time to give back, bringing the Speedy Bear Brigade to five local children’s hospitals—including Shriners Children’s Chicago—delivering comfort, joy, and a $10,000 donation.
