Congratultions to our Filipino Ultra racer Sandi Menchi for winning the bronze medal at the Spartan Ultra World Championship 2025 held in Morzine Avorias, France.

Menchi clocked 8:34:22 to secure the third place behind gold medalist Leslie Lejeune of France and second placer Andrea Berquez of UK in the 50km 60-obstacle Female Elite Ultra Race.

WORLD CLASS POLE VAULT SHOWCASE IN MNL 🤩 🇵🇭

EJ Obiena will compete in the Atletang Ayala World Pole Vault Challenge on September 20–21, and is set to be joined by the world’s top 10 vaulters, including Olympic champion Mondo Duplantis.

The event is approved by World Athletics, so athletes can earn ranking points.

PTF is officially a qualifying race for Batang PhilTRA! Runners aged 22 and below can now aim to become national team members for the U23 and U19 categories.

What you need to do?

1. Registered runners for 6KM/15KM aged 22 and below - no action needed. Your entry is already counted as a Batang PhilTRA category.

2. Reopen slots for aged 22 and below - please send us a message including the runners name, age/birthdate, and running experience. We will reopen 10 slots dedicated for Batang PhilTRA only and will be the same registration fee as the regular rate.

What is Batang PhilTRA?

Batang Philtra is designed to inspire and engage young individuals in a fun-filled, energetic experience that promotes health, fitness, an active lifestyle, and a love for the outdoors through the sports of trail running. The grassroots initiative aims to bring together youth from all walks of life to celebrate the joy of running and encourage the adoption of healthy habits.

PTF Batang PhilTRA is an AG category under 15KM and 6KM and will essentially have the same racekit, routes, and finisher entitlements as the open categories.

This event also serves as qualifying event for the U23 and U19 categories and will be an avenue for selection of the youth contingents for national and international trail running events.

Note:
Ages 18 to 22 - waiver to be signed by runner
Ages 14 to 18 - waiver to be signed by parents
Ages 10 to 13 - waiver to be signed by parents, must either have an online verifiable trail running race experience or must have adult supervision for the whole course
