WHAT'S GOING ON? UPDATES ?
We wanted to share a few updates with our Sparrows Cottage Films friends and family. One year ago was the last time that we attempted filming for Everlasting Hope. Little did we know what would take place over the next few months as God would begin to move and work in ways that we would at the moment, we did not understand.
For those of you have been following us Wilmer Singelton one of our characters was in desperate need of a kidney transplant. For days he would sit in a dialysis chair to continue a decent attempt at a quality of life. God answered his and our prayer as many of you know he was granted the gift of life and a chance for this new kidney and is doing great. He still needs our prayers and support but we are so thankful for this answered prayer.
I had the unfortunate opportunity to fall off of a riding lawn mower. During that I broke my right foot and messed up both of my knees. This limited my mobility intensely for six months and for the next six I have continued to gain some normalcy back in my day to day life. And so many others I know face far greater obstacles in their lives. But for me, always moving, growing and going it challenged me physically, emotionally and spiritually.
During this season of waiting God spoke to all us in different ways. I will focus today just on my personal experience in these conversations with Him. He gave me three things this year to focus on back in March. And since that very moment I have chased after these opportunities in my life. One or two I could handle but the third is a greater step that has required my family and I to lean into God now more than ever. Because through my eyes I just can not see how it all works. But then through the eyes of faith I get a glimpse of all of His glory and what He is doing.
For those who follow us by now I guess that you well know that we are not a church. Sparrows Cottage Films is not a ministry, it is a business. A business that we just have the greatest of opportunities to work behind the scenes helping others create their visions through the lenses of cameras. Sparrows Cottage Films is under the umbrella of Chasing Eight Productions LLC which is a multimedia marketing company.
Everlasting Hope is our current vision that we have been working on as funds were available we would film and stop they weren’t. And our goal is to create this film debt free and we have other faithful partners who have and will be investing into this project from a business standpoint as we move forward. We have worked over this past year preparing for a greater opportunity to work and partner with others from this point forward.
We attempted the impossible! We tried our best to film different scenes over the course of a year as schedules would allow in the past. And it just was not possible no matter how hard we tried. Our goal from this point on is to film over a three to four week period in the very near future as most projects are in our industry are filmed.
We still will be filming portions of this project in Kingsport, Gate City and as well as some areas in Middle Tennessee and a couple more possible locations. We love Tennessee, the place that we call home because of its people and the beauty of our state.
If we had been shown what God was doing a few years back I do not think we could have handled the enormity of it all. He had to give us bite sized portions and allow us time to grow into this NEXT for us. Our intent is still to use the resources and people that have worked so hard to help launch this project. Some will not be able to and we understand that given current positions in employment, ministry and time constraints.
We have held on to this dream because “ we believe in it! “ It was not our dream but His dream. We are fully invested into it regardless of the outcome to us as individuals. Our goal is to help create a project filled with a story of hope in a world who so desperately is in need of a superhero right now. And that hero is Jesus Christ the only one who can really save us all from whatever obstacles that we may face in life and or eternity.
I want to thank each of you that are a part of this adventure and journey that we are currently walking on. We are surrounded by some of the best people in the world and you are our family. We love each of you! Please continue to pray over us all for health, favor, opportunity, provision and purpose over weeks and months ahead as stand back and see the miracles that God is and will be providing for our future!
