WILD WILD DEAD: Far East Of Eden is pushed back but is in progress. An OD 10 page story ( teaser ) will be appearing in super human Jesse Blaze Sniders upcoming Sci Fi/ Fantasy SUGAR & BONES magazine written by me and illustrated by Hong Kong rock star Jonathan Jay Lee ( truly one of my favorite artists on any continent ) but unfortunately the 4 Issue series will be pushed back from Fall 2026 to Summer 2027 and the Trade will likely launch on Black Friday 2027.
Each WWD story arc is being written as 4 Issue Mini Series and possibility or characters rolling over from 1 story to another is there but slim. They are all self contained stories in the Universe. I am surely burnt out on the Hollywood hustle, i dont want to focus on selling this as a TV series/ film for the moment. We won't say no to the right deal if it comes across the table but despite all the hype & global press we received when Animal Planet signed us up in 2013 check in hand it's been hurry up and wait along with every offer that came after. All the radical change in technology could very well change that, as i don't remember 1 pitch meeting where someone didn't say " Zombie animals are really expensive to animate..." No s**t, really ? God forbid anyone remembered how often we actually saw the broken animatronic Shark in Jaws.
Along with the title change from The OTHER DEAD to WILD WILD DEAD, none of the original characters from Other Dead will be on board. Every trade will be self contained as the story pushes across the globe (Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe, and Australia) in 88 page trades to set up for PLANET OF THE WILD WILD DEAD. Love and respect to OG Team OD whose talents are legend but It’s an all new team now being assembled, we have pulled out of all proposed TV deals that were on the table with Animal Planet, Discovery and Michael Bays camp. We have a japanese toy deal technically which is still active. I’ll be keeping the irons in the fire along the way. Stay positive warm and fuzzy- much love.
