Demna will present his first-ever Cruise collection in New York on May 16, marking a pivotal moment for both the house and the designer’s new era. Coming right after his debut Gucci show in Milan, this Cruise 2027 outing isn’t just another date on the fashion calendar — it’s a cultural reset.

New York as the chosen stage says everything. It’s a city defined by duality: elegance and grit, commerce and chaos, past and reinvention — the exact tension that fuels Demna’s creative language. By bringing Cruise to NYC, Gucci is signaling a sharper, more global, more confrontational attitude for the brand’s next chapter.

Demna’s arrival at Gucci has already reshaped industry expectations, and this show will be the first time we see his vision expand beyond the Milan debut and into a standalone narrative. Cruise collections often speak to wanderlust, travel, and identity — and with Demna at the helm, expect those themes to be stripped down, reconstructed, and reimagined through an unmistakably modern lens.

All eyes will be on what he chooses to reveal in New York:
New silhouettes? A reworked Gucci vocabulary? Braver proportions, bolder leather goods, sharper tailoring? The city’s architecture, pace, and energy will undoubtedly become part of the storytelling — and fashion’s entire ecosystem will be watching, frame by frame, for clues about the house’s future.

May 16 in New York marks not just a Cruise show, but the true ignition point of Demna’s Gucci.
A new era starts there.
