What is good everyone! We are super excited to present our latest vinyl and we couldn't be more stoked to have a true techno legend making his Downside Up debut.

Jamie's work over the decades speaks for itself. From the legendary SpaceDJz dj act to his absolutely massive catalog to his absolutely monster dj sets these days, not only is his commitment never ending but he's a real dude and we only f**k with read dudes.

The vinyl comes in 2 colors: a seaglass blue and a jade, both look absolutely amazing,

Downside Up Recordings proudly presents its latest digital release, the Grand Opal EP from rising New York City producer and DJ, Mr Faust 999. This four-track collection cements his reputation as one of the most exciting new voices in the city’s underground techno scene.

The Grand Opal EP unfolds across four distinct yet interconnected cuts:

Grand Opal 1 – a dark and pulsating opener, where melancholic keys hover above a staccato-driven groove.


Grand Opal 2 – a late-set weapon with tense rising stabs layered over shadowy textures.


Grand Opal 3 – hypnotic synth lines and an organized-chaos energy ride atop a relentless, driving groove.


Grand Opal 4 – shifting into a more melodic and uplifting dimension, this closing piece offers a vibrant contrast to the rest of the release.

Known across the NYC underground for his tightly crafted DJ sets, Mr Faust 999 has been steadily carving out a reputation in clubs and warehouses alike. His sound draws on the darker edges of techno, but he brings a versatile, forward-thinking approach that connects deeply with late-night dancefloors. The Grand Opal EP represents his most fully realized studio statement to date.

As we celebrate our 13th year of existence, we are evolving into the physical world with limited edition collectors 12” vinyl from a slew of amazing artists, combined with unique artwork, stickers, and discount offers for out D.U.R. Merch.

The first EP in this series comes from label head Brandon De Carlo, who brings you 3 minimal techno tracks and one experimental track, all of them being best suited for deeper moments in your DJ sets.

This Inaugural release WILL NOT BE OFFERED COMMERCIALLY IN DIGITAL FORM…. Just vinyl. The collectors pieces will go fast as they will be capped at 500 copies max, but your gonna want one of the 1st 200 no question.
