Our first selfie of the new year!
Last night was our first watch night service as a family of 5. 5 minutes before midnight, I scooped up Julian, who was happily playing drums near Nana. And I made sure we all did the countdown together as Pastor continued to preach us into the new year.

It was beautiful 🥰

I have lots of things I want to accomplish this year. Spending more time with my family is one of them. I can’t wait to make announcements throughout the year about everything that we have going on. 2025 was draining (and exciting), but I know 2026 will be better!

Merry Christmas 🎄
I’m typing this and I’m half asleep. It has been a weird Christmas, and I know others feel the same. There’s just something different this year, and I don’t know what it is.

But Jesus is still the reason for the season, and I’m just happy to be able to spend yet another Christmas with my family! In spite of how this year has been, and how tired I am, God is still great.

Today was like a dream. All I want to do is create amazing memories for my children, especially on their birthday. And I feel like we did that today for Jonathan!

We followed his school cupcake request, drove allllll the way up to Fairfield to visit the Anime store that he asked for, and we ate at Kashi for dinner. Because I don’t think he knows the difference between Chinese (his request) and Japanese food haha 😆

Happy Thanksgiving 🍁
I have so many things to be grateful for this year. After a very stressful couple of weeks in the kitchen, I was able to muster up the strength to spend time with my family. So there’s that 🥲

While Roody cleaned the kitchen today, Jaden, Jonathan & I made dinner rolls, candied yams, and pumpkin biscuits. Roody made coquito.

Everyone was very obviously tired, but we still gathered together and enjoyed each other’s company. I woke up from a nap on the couch and realized we didn’t take a family photo. Oops! Next year.

The worst feeling for a woman is when she tries to talk with a man about how his actions affect her. But instead of listening he gets defensive and somehow she ends up to be the problem. She didn't want to fight she just wanted to be heard.

She wanted to express her feelings, her concerns, and her needs, but instead, she gets dismissed, invalidated, and blamed. It's like she's speaking a different language, and he's more interested in being right than understanding her. He's more invested in defending himself than in acknowledging her pain. And she's left feeling unheard, unseen, and un validated. It's a lonely, isolating feeling, like she's walking on eggshells, never knowing when he'll explode or shut down.

She's not asking for solutions, she's not asking for fixes, she's asking to be heard, to be seen, and to be understood. But somehow, it always turns into a fight, and she's left feeling like she's the one who's crazy, like she's the one who's wrong. And that's the worst part, that's the part that hurts the most.

At 19 years old, I was fully ready to say yes.

I mean, he didn’t actually ask. He got nervous and just stayed on one knee until the manager of the restaurant yelled, “Well???” I said, “Yes!” and everyone cheered.

People are still cheering us on to this day. I love that for us. And I love you, my sweet honey muffin chocolate cake sugar pop 😘

This one is for the apple spice lovers! It’s an apple spice sheet cake that Larique sent to me. I veganized it and added my own twist. The end result is DELICIOUS.

I want to make it again (with the right amount of butter this time) and I might add it to the Thanksgiving menu 😋
