FEATURE FILM SHOOTING THIS JULY IN HRM LOOKING FOR BACKGROUND PERFORMERS - 1 x OLDER MAN, 1 x WOMAN (30s), AND 1 x CHILD (AGE 6 - 8 )

Peep Media is filming a feature film this July called Baby. On Tuesday, July 8th we will be filming an office scene, and are looking for three background actors to perform. All ethnicities and sizes are welcome!

We are looking for:

1 x older man
1 x woman (30s, approximately)
1 x child (age 6 - 8, ideally)

No special skills required.

FEATURE FILM SHOOTING THIS SUMMER IN HRM LOOKING FOR BACKGROUND ROLLER SKATERS, AGES 14 to 40

Peep Media is filming a feature film this July called Baby. We will be filming a number of scenes in a roller rink and are looking for people from the local roller skating community who are interested in being background skaters for these scenes. All ethnicities and sizes are welcome!

Must have your own roller skates and be comfortable skating without a helmet.

In the email, please tell us your age, pronouns and how long you have been roller skating, along with any special roller skating skills you might have! Please also include a clear, recent photo of yourself.

This workshop is aimed at those who don’t currently work in the film industry but are curious about the possibility of doing so. This introductory workshop will provide an overview of many of the departments and job positions that exist within the film industry. You will learn a little bit about the responsibilities of those roles, gain insight into the different types and scales of production happening in Nova Scotia and also discuss some practical suggestions for how to go about starting a career in the film industry.

Taught by Kevin A Fraser, A Pictou County native who grew up not knowing if filmmaking was a viable career choice in Nova Scotia. Now he has over 20 years experience as a Director of Photography who works across genres in: Feature Film (Who’s Yer Father, Bone Cage, Dawn Her Dad & the Tractor) Television (This Hour has 22 Minutes, Everybody’s Meg, Clay’s POV) , Commercial Advertising (Walmart, Samsung, Toyota) and Documentary (Bernie Langille Wants to know What Happened to Bernie Langille, Twenty Eight Feet, The Mill) . He’s been lucky to travel for work to 26 countries and every province in Canada while keeping a home base in the fishing village of Sambro, Nova Scotia.
