‼️Thibodaux Regional Welcomes Dr. Dallas Domangue, Anesthesiologist, to the Medical Staff‼️

Thibodaux, Louisiana- August 12, 2025 - Thibodaux Regional Health System is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Dallas Domangue, Anesthesiologist, to the active medical staff.
A native of Houma, Dr. Domangue earned his undergraduate degree from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, and received his medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. He completed his Residency in Anesthesiology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Dr. Domangue is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiology.
Dr. Domangue is happy to be back home and have the opportunity to help serve the people of this community. He and his wife grew up near Thibodaux, and met while attending Nicholls State University. Family is important to them, especially since welcoming their first child. Dr. Domangue said he chose to work at Thibodaux Regional because the atmosphere reminds him of the southern hospitality he grew up with, and he is impressed by the hospital’s remarkable growth and the many ways it serves the people of this region.

State Trooper Arrested in Domestic Incident‼️

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced the arrest of a Louisiana State Trooper who was involved in a domestic incident. Brent Crochet, 28, of Gray was arrested on Friday afternoon.

Deputies had responded to a domestic disturbance at Crochet’s residence in Gray involving Crochet and a person in a relationship with him. According to statements and physical evidence collected, investigators learned Crochet had struck the victim in the face, threatened her with a firearm, and damaged her cell phone. The investigation showed probable cause that Crochet had committed these crimes. On July 11, 2025, detectives obtained a warrant for Crochet’s arrest from the 17th Judicial District Court for charges including domestic abuse aggravated assault (felony), domestic abuse battery (misdemeanor), and simple criminal damage to property (felony).

On Friday afternoon, Crochet turned himself over to deputies. He was booked on the warrants at the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex in Thibodaux. He was subsequently released after posting bail in the amount of $45,000.

Crochet has been placed on administrative leave by the Louisiana State Police pending the investigation.

Colonel Robert Hodges, Louisiana State Police Superintendent, said, “Immediately upon learning of the ongoing investigation, LSP Trooper Crochet was placed on administrative leave, and all department-issued property was recovered by Troop C supervisors. As we have done in the past, we will continue to hold our personnel accountable for their actions and remain committed to professionalism and loyalty to the residents and visitors of our great state.”

Correctional Complex Inmate on Life Support Following Medical Emergency‼️

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced an inmate at the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex is currently on life support following a medical emergency on Sunday. Andrew Moity, 44, of Chalmette is receiving care at a local hospital.

At around 5:15 a.m. on July 6, 2025, correctional officers at the Correctional Complex had observed Moity standing alone in his cell (as confirmed by video surveillance). Then, at 5:30 a.m., an officer found Moity slumped over and unresponsive, and he called for assistance and an ambulance. Additional officers and jail medical staff immediately arrived and began lifesaving measures. EMTs arrived and departed the inmate’s dormitory shortly after 6:15 a.m. Moity was then transported to a local hospital where he was placed on life support.

Moity had been at the Correctional Complex since his arrest by Louisiana State Police on December 27, 2022, for DWI (4th offense) and other charges.

‼️SVU Investigation Results in Arrest of Houma Man for Multiple Counts of Child Sexual Abuse Material ‼️


‼️TROOP C NEWS RELEASE - June 28, 2025 ‼️

Background — Lafourche Parish
– In December of 2024, the Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit (LSP/SVU) began an investigation into the possession and distribution of child s*xual abuse material, which resulted in the arrest of 35-year-old KraigThibodeaux of Houma.

The case was initiated after the LSP/SVU received a cyber-tip from Attorney General Liz Murrill’s Louisiana Bureau of Investigation regarding the s*xual exploitation of minors. The tip included information
about a social media account containing and distributing multiple videos of child s*xual abuse material (CSAM).

On June 26, 2025, investigators with LSP/SVU, the LSP Criminal Investigations Division – Houma Field Office, and the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office, executed search and arrest warrants at Thibodeaux’s
residence in the Bayou Blue community. Thibodeaux was arrested and charged with five counts of
LA RS 14:81.1 - Po*******hy Involving Juveniles Under the Age of 13 and one count of
LA RS 14:81.1 - Po*******hy Involving Juveniles. He was processed into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex. This case remains under investigation.

LSP/SVU works to rescue and seek justice for the victims of crimes involving the exploitation of children and the trafficking of humans for s*x or labor through investigative partnerships with local, state,
and federal law enforcement agencies and through public education.

The public plays an important role in identifying suspects accused of these crimes and is urged to report criminal or suspicious activity.

The Louisiana State Police online reporting system
is available to the public through an anonymous reporting form that is submitted to the appropriate investigators. The form can be found by visiting la-safe.org and clicking on the “Suspicious Activity” link.

A fusion center is a collaborative effort of two or more agencies that provide resources, expertise, and/or information with the goal of maximizing the ability to detect, prevent, investigate, apprehend, and respond to criminal and terrorist activity.
