VOID KITTEN

Co-promoter Tim Furze told LS Weekly: "Void Kitten is the kind of event I wish was there when I was younger. Built on Goth / Industrial foundations, but open to the full spectrum of alternative noise. It’s genre-fluid, unapologetically dark, and made to bring scenes together — not keep them apart."

THE MISSION
UK goth-rock stalwarts The Mission have announced the cancellation or postponement of the US and UK dates so far announced for 2025 due to medical issues. The band, who celebrate their 40th anniversary shows next year, were due to support The Psychedlic Furs on their US tour as well as performing their own warm-up shows under their 'Blood Brothers' alter ego in August.

A statement from the band said: "It is with immense regret that we have to announce our forthcoming tour of North America, both with The Psychedelic Furs and our own shows, has been cancelled due to a previously unforeseen medical issue with a member of the band that requires intense treatment and a lengthy period of recuperation.

It goes without saying that this is not the news that any of the band wished to deliver and we are all profoundly disappointed not to be able to go ahead with a run of shows we were very much looking forward to. That said, health is not something to be compromised and must always come first and as such all that we can offer is our profuse apologies, and genuine gratitude for your understanding and ongoing support.

The shows where we were scheduled to support The Psychedelic Furs will go ahead with our good friends The Chameleons taking our place. For our own scheduled headline shows refunds will be issued from point of purchase.

And sadly we also have to postpone our two UK Hebden Bridge shows in August although we do hope to be able to reschedule these two for next year when the band are once again fit and ready to play shows. All tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled shows but unfortunately we can’t yet provide you with a precise date. Those ticket holders that wish to be refunded for the Hebden Bridge shows can do so by sending an email to [email protected]."

TOMORROW'S GHOSTS FESTIVAL
A change has been announced to the lineup for the autumn Tomorrow's Ghosts festival.

High Parasite, who were due to open the Saturday night, have pulled out of the event citing logistical difficulties.

A statement from the band said: "Very sadly and with much regret we must announce that we will be unable to perform at this years Tomorrows Ghosts Festival in Whitby on Nov 1st.

It was not a decision taken lightly at all and we know this news will come as a disappointment to a number of you who have already purchased tickets.
If we could have made it work we would have, but with the constantly changing parameters of the touring schedule and personal circumstances we physically cannot make it work.

Please accept our sincere apologies and know that we will make it up as soon as we can."

They have been replaced on the bill by goth legends UK Decay.

FOREVER NOW FESTIVAL
2025 looks set to be the busiest year for UK alternative and goth-adjacent festivals in a generation, with new events being announced seemingly every week.

The latest is certainly set to be the biggest. Forever Now, presented by the same promoters as the Cruel World festival in California, is set to take place at Milton Keynes over two stages on Sunday 22nd July.

The heavily revivalist line-up features headliners, Kraftwerk, with The The, Billy Idol, Death Cult, Johnny Marr, Peter Murphy, Psychedelic Furs, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Happy Mondays, The Damned, Public Image Ltd, Berlin, Theatre of Hate, Chameleons, The Motels and UK Decay on the bill. The only 21st century act so far confirmed are She Wants Revenge.

Organised bv AEG Presents in association with Ticketmaster, who have recently been publicly criticised by everyone from Robert Smith to Taylor Swift, and with sales for the £80-£600 tickets being a victim of Ticketmaster's notoriously unreliable website, the event looks set to be prove as controversial as it will be popular.
