Mavix Media is entering pre-production on a feature‐length investigative documentary chronicling the rise—and unfolding legal battles—of self-proclaimed “Apostle” David E. Taylor.
Taylor, leader of the Kingdom of God Global Church (formerly Joshua Media Ministries), is currently facing a sweeping federal indictment: accused of forced labor, money laundering, human trafficking, and labor abuse across multiple states—including Michigan, Florida, Texas, and Missouri. Authorities allege he coerced unpaid work in donation call centers, subjected followers to psychological and physical punishments, and directed victims to act as personal “armor bearers,” even requiring escorts to take emergency contraceptives.
The indictment stems from an alleged scheme that netted approximately $50 million in donations since 2014 and funded a lavish lifestyle including luxury properties, vehicles, and recreational equipment. With maximum sentences reaching up to 20 years behind bars, the documentary promises to shed light on the disturbing details and survivors’ voices behind the headlines.
