In my latest episode, Caroline Mincks talks about disability representation in their award-winning audio drama, Seen and Not Heard. Listen at https://www.beyond6seconds.net/244 .

Text in image is a quote from Caroline: “[Deafness and OCD] are such different experiences, but at the same time, they're not. They both come with a lot of misunderstanding. They come with a lot of very life-altering things that happen as a result.”

As Deaf Awareness Month (September) ends and OCD Awareness Month (October) begins, this week's episode of Beyond 6 Seconds covers both topics!

I caught up with my friend Caroline Mincks to talk about their award-winning audio drama, Seen and Not Heard, which has started its second season. Caroline shares how their own experience with hearing loss in adulthood and OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder) inspired them to create Seen and Not Heard, the importance of challenging misconceptions about deafness and OCD, and the impact of authentic disability representation in media.
