From New York to ‘old’ York, Dominique & Mike’s international celebrations were held at the magnificent Thicket Priory. For us, though, things started off with a story telling shoot in the city of York where we were lucky enough to hear where it all began for these two love birds! On the big day itself the sun was shining as guests were exploring in the morning and the dreamy floral displays were being set up. Dominique & Mike wore beautiful tradition Vietnamese dress during the heartfelt ceremony before changing for some amazing speeches and dinner. We took advantage of the gorgeous light when we had a little wander out the front of the building for some portraits! We headed back inside for the cutting of a spectacular cake to mark the start the evening reception where guests danced the night away on a jam-packed dance floor! Thank you Dominique & Mike for letting us be a part of your special day.

Kaitlyn & Matthew tied the knot at Wynyard Hall, an 18th century country house with its own onsite chapel. There was SO MUCH happening, we were in our element! Kaitlyn’s dress and veil were spectacular and the veil stayed firmed planted on Kaitlyn’s head ALL DAY - what a trooper. We heard live music all day, which was just dreamy! We loved the illustrator who was doing her own version of group shots. The building itself is so grand, but the floral displays and the tablescapes really held their own against the incredible backdrop of the ballroom. We loved all of the nods to Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings, we could satisfy our inner geeks! To top this wonderful, wonderful day off, we caught one of the best sunsets we’ve seen all year. Thank you Kaitlyn & Matthew for letting us be a part of your special day!

Olivia & Ed chose Anne of Cleves Barn to hold their celebrations. The barn has quite the history and part of that history is that it was gifted to Anne of Cleves by Henry VIII! Anyway, fast forward to this summer and we were lucky enough to be there and capture Olivia & Ed's special day. Right from the morning you could feel the party atmosphere! The flowers were absolutely beautiful (thanks to Liv’s sister, Rach) we couldn't take our eyes (and cameras) off them! After an amazing pink champagne tower we got some gorgeous light just before the sun went down and then the party really got started. The dancefloor was bouncing for hours and made even better when a shot trolley got wheeled onto it! Thank you Olivia & Ed for a wonderful day. Here's a look at their trailer.

The Howtown Hotel in Ullswater holds a special place in the hearts of Sophie & Hugh, which made the celebrations held there all the more special! The day started off with a swim in the lake by a very brave Hugh and some equally brave guests! Sophie was getting ready with a spectacular view over the lake, it was a brilliant morning being both calm and fun before the day got underway. A marquee was erected right by waterside with breathtaking views over Ullswater, if you’re getting married in the Lake District, what could be better than being right by the water?? Their day was elegant with gorgeous white flowers which looked perfect against all of the purples and greens of the hills surrounding us. Thank you Sophie & Hugh for letting us be a part of your special day!

Katy & Mike tied the knot at the beautiful Barn in The Fells in the Lake District. They chose to have a first look with each other and have private vows, just the two of them, with the spectacular fells in the background. It was so romantic and we felt honoured to be able to capture it for them. It felt even better that we got to film some of this with Super8 to add to the whole timeless feel of the day. After a small, intimate ceremony the newly weds chose to have ‘afternoon guests’ not evening evening guests, which is something we’d never seen before and we loved! After all of the mingling, glasses clinking and amazing food it was time for the wedding ‘cake’ which was actually a piñata! Once that was smashed the ceilidh got underway and what a party! The weather was doing it’s usual Lake District thing for most of the day and it made for the most atmospheric of portraits! Thank you, Katy & Mike, for letting us be a part of your special day!
