Checkout the Mountain lion trapped on Double L Ranch in Shamrock, TX. Caught in a foot trap by Billy and Eastin Goodpasture. According to the Goodpastures there are not supposed to be any mountain lions in the area where they caught him.
In Texas, mountain lions are classified as a nongame species, which means they are not regulated like deer, turkey, or other game animals. Because of this, they can be legally taken at any time on private land with the landowner’s permission. There are no statewide bag limits or closed seasons, though general trapping and humane dispatch rules still apply.
