Superspectrum sounds and stories from Ultraterrestrial dimensions. The Superspectrum is the spectrum of energies that are known to exist but that cannot be accurately measured with present-day instruments. It is a shadowy world of energies that produce well-observed effects, particularly on biological organisms (namely people). The Superspectrum is the source of all paranormal manifestations from

extrasensory perception (ESP) to UFO, ultradimensional entities and occult presences. It is hard to pin down scientifically because it is extradimensional, meaning that it exists outside our own space-time continuum yet influences every thing within our reality.

First released in September 1993 in just 30 cassette copies, Runes Order’s No Future stands as a turning point in Claudio Dondo’s project, shifting from ritual industrial atmospheres to cosmic soundscapes haunted by the specter of nuclear devastation. Conceived in the aftermath of the Cold War, the album evokes a 'day after' perspective, where music wanders like a camera through the ruins of a vanished civilization. Its smoky textures and raw crescendos—culminating in tracks like Nightmare is Coming and the title piece—capture both the collapse of a world and the lingering terror of an unresolved nightmare. Today, more than thirty years later, No Future remains a disturbing yet cathartic listening experience, and a seminal precursor for the many industrial works that explored post-apocalyptic themes in its wake.

Every week we take a closer look at a seminal album that has shaped the evolution of dark ambient. Today’s focus is a Swedish classic that left a deep mark on the genre: Kammarheit – The Starwheel (released by Cyclic Law.

A preview of a new and unreleased track by Kammarheit is now available exclusively for Eighth Tower patrons.
Pär Boström, one of the most distinctive voices in Scandinavian dark ambient music, contributes a deeply immersive piece to the upcoming compilation Music for Ancient Catacombs. His work under the Kammarheit name has always explored the quiet tension between stillness and subterranean movement, and this new composition continues that path with a sense of distant resonance and hidden architecture. This track will be officially included in the compilation, but for now it is available only here as an early listening experience for supporters of Eighth Tower.
I hope you enjoy this first glimpse into the sound world of the forthcoming Music for Ancient Catacombs.

Through seven corrosive movements, Nihil Impvlse conjures the dissonance of a species intoxicated by progress yet paralyzed by its consequences, mistaking collapse for transcendence. Far from a Luddite cry, The Great Filter interrogates the paradox of a civilization building its own obsolescence, each track a recursive loop of creation and erasure, until all that remains is the hollowed echo of a “yes” hissed into the void.
