Superspectrum sounds and stories from Ultraterrestrial dimensions. The Superspectrum is the spectrum of energies that are known to exist but that cannot be accurately measured with present-day instruments. It is a shadowy world of energies that produce well-observed effects, particularly on biological organisms (namely people). The Superspectrum is the source of all paranormal manifestations from

extrasensory perception (ESP) to UFO, ultradimensional entities and occult presences. It is hard to pin down scientifically because it is extradimensional, meaning that it exists outside our own space-time continuum yet influences every thing within our reality.

INCREDIBLE STRANGE YOUTUBE - When the Solar System Stared Back (Cosmic Horror, Anthropomorphism, and the Terror of Being Seen). https://www.patreon.com/posts/incredible-when-151534783
Our relationship with the solar system has always been distant. Not merely in physical terms, but in symbolic ones. We observe the universe as voyeurs, peering into the dark from a position of assumed safety. Even the Moon, now romanticized as familiar, was beyond our reach until the late twentieth century. We look outward, measure, catalogue, and name, convinced that distance is protection. But what happens when the distance collapses?

V.A. - Electric Dead Speak. Music inspired by the Electronic Voice Phenomenon
eighthtowerrecords.bandcamp.com/album/electric-dead-speak-music-inspired-by-the-electronic-voice-phenomenon
The new Eighth Tower Records compilation dedicated to the Electronic Voice Phenomenon explores the blurred boundary between sound, technology, and the unknown. Across twelve tracks by artists from the post-industrial and dark ambient scene, EVP is approached as both a paranormal mystery and a perceptual phenomenon, suspended between signal and hallucination. Drones, degraded recordings, and spectral textures transform recording devices into instruments of invocation, evoking an aural séance where every sound may be a message from elsewhere, or an echo of the listener’s own mind.

INVISIBLE SCIENCE FICTION FROM ITALY
5 films you probably never saw.
https://www.patreon.com/posts/invisible-from-5-150480029
Italian cinema has rarely embraced science fiction as a declared genre. There are few spaceships, little technology on display, and almost no faith in the future as progress. Yet, a significant portion of Italian cinema that engages with science-fictional themes has explored them in indirect and unconventional ways: social engineering, post-human anxiety, mass surveillance, biological extinction, and the collapse of collective identity. This strand of Italian science fiction tends to look sideways or inward. It disguises itself as political satire, gothic horror, existential drama, or philosophical allegory. The future is not imagined as a distant horizon but as a distorted reflection of the present, already decaying, already exhausted. Power, media, and the body become the true speculative machines, while cities appear as archaeological remains of a time that has not yet ended.

OUT NOW ON EIGHTH TOWER RECORDS
Runes Order - No Future
eighthtowerrecords.bandcamp.com/album/no-future
First released in September 1993 in just 30 cassette copies, Runes Order’s No Future stands as a turning point in Claudio Dondo’s project, shifting from ritual industrial atmospheres to cosmic soundscapes haunted by the specter of nuclear devastation. Conceived in the aftermath of the Cold War, the album evokes a 'day after' perspective, where music wanders like a camera through the ruins of a vanished civilization. Its smoky textures and raw crescendos—culminating in tracks like Nightmare is Coming and the title piece—capture both the collapse of a world and the lingering terror of an unresolved nightmare. Today, more than thirty years later, No Future remains a disturbing yet cathartic listening experience, and a seminal precursor for the many industrial works that explored post-apocalyptic themes in its wake.

EIGHTH TOWER - DARK FICTION
Dear patrons and subscribers, we’re pleased to present a previously unpublished story by American writer Michael F. Housel, a longtime presence in the Eighth Tower universe:
https://www.patreon.com/posts/149149240
Michael F. Housel’s The Greater Goo unfolds as a slow-burning tale of childhood trauma, abandoned industry, and uncanny transformation. Set against a rain-soaked, almost Twin Peaks–like landscape, the story merges body horror, grief, and social cruelty into a single, unsettling organism. Through precise, cinematic prose, Housel explores how fear, memory, and desire for protection can mutate into something vast, intimate, and terrifyingly alive, where survival and monstrosity become indistinguishable.

INVISIBLE SCIENCE FICTION FROM EASTERN EUROPE
5 films you probably never saw.

Invisible Science Fiction is a column devoted to films that exist outside the dominant narratives of the genre. It focuses on small masterpieces, cult works, and titles that received little promotion or circulation, despite their strong aesthetic and conceptual value. Many of these films come from marginal cinematographies or difficult historical contexts, and for this reason they often remained unseen or forgotten. Even dedicated science fiction enthusiasts may have never encountered these works. Their invisibility is rarely the result of minor importance; it is more often the consequence of limited distribution, political circumstances, or a form of cinema that resisted easy classification.

100 ESSENTIAL DARK AMBIENT RECORDS (link in the first comment).
I’m happy to bring you the ninth chapter of the Eighth Tower Magazine series, “100 Essential Dark Ambient Records.”
Every week we take a closer look at a seminal album that has shaped the evolution of dark ambient. Today’s focus is a Swedish classic that left a deep mark on the genre: Kammarheit – The Starwheel (released by Cyclic Law.
What do you think of this album? And what score would you give it in your own list of favorite dark ambient records? I gave my own score and I’d love to see your score in the comments below.

Out Now: Nihil Impvlse - The Great Filter (dl + CD, published by Eighth Tower Records) eighthtowerrecords.bandcamp.com/album/the-great-filter
Eighth Tower Records unveils Nihil Impvlse’s The Great Filter, the third release by the industrial project on the label. A dark post-industrial exploration of humanity’s collision course with its own tools, the album reframes the titular cosmic theory as a metaphor for our self-engineered existential sieve where accelerationism’s fervent dogma and apocalyptic fatalism fuse into a nihilistic liturgy.
