Sayuri Matsuura Ayers is a Chinese Japanese American poet and nonfiction writer. Her poetry and essays interweave Chinese and Japanese mythology with history and personal experience to uplift the voices of her female ancestors. A Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net Nominee, Ayers has been supported by Yaddo, the Virginia Center for Creative Arts, The Greater Columbus Arts Council, and The Ohio Arts Council. She lives with her husband and son in Columbus, Ohio.

Sneha Subramanian Kanta is an academician and multi-genre writer from Canada. She is the author of five chapbooks, including Every Elegy Is A Love Poem (Variant Lit, forthcoming) and Ghost Tracks (Louisiana Literature, 2020). An award-winning writer, her work has been supported by several institutions including Ontario Arts Council, Tin House, The Charles Wallace Trust, The Vijay Nambisan Trust, and British Council. She is one of the founding editors of Parentheses Journal.

B. Fulton Jennes is an award-winning poet whose work has appeared widely in literary journals and anthologies. In 2022, Jennes’ poem “Glyphs of a Gentle Going” won the Lascaux Prize; another poem, “Father to Son,” won the 2023 New Millennium Award. Her collection Blinded Birds (Finishing Line Press) received the 2022 International Book Award for a poetry chapbook. Jennes is poet laureate emerita of Ridgefield, CT. She hosts many workshops and readings, both online and in person, including the Poetry in the Garden summer series at Keeler Tavern Museum in Ridgefield.

Ayers’ chapbook is a lyric essay investigating relationships, mental illness, pregnancy, and family weaving through folktale and childhood memory. This chapbook is at once immediate and ephemeral, rooted in both the body and in dreaming.

Sayuri Ayers is a prose writer and poet from Columbus, Ohio. Her work explores identity, motherhood, and mental health. Sayuri is a Kundiman Fellow and VCCA Resident. In 2020, she received the Ohio Arts Council’s Individual Excellence Award for creative nonfiction. She has also been awarded grants from OAC, the Greater Columbus Arts Council, and Arts Possible Ohio.
