IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING MUDFEST It is with a heavy heart that we must advise that Mud fest has to be postponed.

Mud fest NZ was contacted by the Waikato District Council late yesterday and told that would require a special resource consent to host the meeting on the new site (the off-road Track) . Having 3 mud fest events held at the surrounding paddocks, this particular paddock needed to have special consents due to nature of water ways etc. since yesterday we have been going back and forth to get all the paperwork for them, however it doesn’t leave enough time to get this passed.

We could have gone ahead with the event without consent however then our public liability insurance would not cover you all and we will not risk this for everyone’s safety .

We are hoping to have Mud fest NZ up and running with all the box’s ticked within the next month. We are very much devastated that we must postpone Mud fest but simply don’t have any options from the council. Our team has worked very hard to bring Mud fest back and this had blindsided us all completely.
Again we apologise for the inconvenience this has caused and are frantically working to get the event back up and running.

We are happy to refund the ENTRYs to competitors . Please send email with account number to the email you got it from.

We can also transfer it to the next date.

All spectator giveaway tickets and driver entries will be valid on the new date.

Please be understanding that this was out of our hands.

We received a call asking for help to recover a 4x4 from a steaming pool.

We tried winching it forward but the winch rope wasn't up for it and ended up snapping.

After that, we surveyed the hardness of the ground, which was quite soft so the only other option was to sn**ch it from the rear end. First gear wasn't cutting it so a second gear dump was chosen, followed by unnecessary blips of the throttle for celebration.
