At TwitchCon San Diego, Twitch officially announced an array of new features for both Twitch Partners and Twitch Affiliates. These new features included things like ad breaks for affiliates, the removal of pre-roll ads , as well as picture-in-picture viewing compatibility. These are also three of the first changes we will see on Twitch. The goal of offering these new features is to make advertising on Twitch less intrusive, and more inclusive for viewers as well as streamers. [ 289 more words ]

This week on Twitch was highlighted by some of the biggest names on the platform coming together and playing a game that none of them have played in quite some time. Ninja, Dr. Lupo, CouRageJD, and Jacob Hysteria all came together to run a squad stream, play League of Legends, and have a few drinks. Ninja is probably the most well known gaming celebrity in the world, so when word got out that he would be doing a fun night stream with a few drinks, a lot of Twitch users knew they could not miss it.
