Hey Kent! Your local has a vegan burger option now! Specify no mayo but they have vegan cheese. They are even doing vegan milkshakes: strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla. 🥤 Is this as good as ? Heck no!! But for those of us who still share meals with omnivore friends and loved ones it’s good to have in your back pocket. 🍔

🙈 Anyone else reeling from watching “Chimp Crazy?” Just wanted let you know that there is an amazing local, 90 acre sanctuary for chimps called Pacific Northwest. So if you’d like to do something positive to help, they would love your support. It’s not a zoo, so no visiting, but they post regularly on their blog with photos, videos, and updates. They also have a heard of sanctuary cows that help with mowing and mooing. ❤️

Just a reminder that one of the few all vegan coffee shops in Seattle also has one of the best patios. There’s even plenty of outlets for getting work done outside! is located right across from the Othello light rail station and they have rockin’ breakfast sammies.

Congratulations for making best vegan donuts in the U.S.! Friends, it might be tough getting your hands on their Everything but the Bagel doughnut for a bit but worth the effort.

has a fab brunch with some top tier vegan options. Their Southwest Sweet Potato is our new favorite. It’s a baked sweet potato with guacamole, black beans, roasted corn, pico, chile crema, and crispy shallots. Served with green & red chile, and a side salad. Shown here with tofu chorizo on top. YUM.

🟤 ❤️ Did you know that Washington, Idaho, and Montana are the main producers of lentils, peas, and chickpeas in the U.S.? That’s why we have the National Lentil Festival coming up in August! There is a parade and everything. Eating local as a vegan in Washington is full of healthy flavor.

Other flavors today: Vegan Thai Iced Tea, Vegan Chocolate, and Vegan Pumpkin Spice. Thank you for being so thoughtful of us vegans, Full Tilt! You are a treasured Seattle institution. ❤️💚

“Vegan” Isn’t a Bad Word Anymore

Don’t know if you’ve heard, but a vegan tsunami is coming. Large corporations are now getting onboard in droves promoting plant-based products. While we think that’s great, and all, Seattle had cool vegans before it was cool. Seattle Vegan Life will share their unique stories and businesses with you. We subscribe to the “think globally, act locally” and “eat tasty food like you give a damn” philosophies.
