Local Editor Mary Beth Foster moved to Mint Hill in 2011 with her then-fiance. “We looked at homes all over the Charlotte area, but my husband wanted a large lot, and I wanted to live near a grocery store,” says Mary Beth. “Turns out that’s Mint Hill!”

You might recognize Mary Beth’s name from The Mint Hill Times, which she contributed to as a writer, editor and calendar coordinator for eight years. When she’s not working on Mint Hill Magazine, you can find her helping high school seniors with their college essays, making custom t-shirt quilts, and spending time with her family, which includes her husband Josh, 7-year-old Henry, 10-year-old Hannah, and their two cats, Ravioli and Weasley.

“It was such an honor to share the unique stories of so many of Mint Hill’s residents, business owners, students and more during my years with the local newspaper,” says Mary Beth. “I can’t wait to continue to bring you the stories that make Mint Hill a unique and fun place to live.”

Mary Beth is eager to hear your stories, ideas and suggestions. Reach out to her at [email protected]. Let’s make magic happen in Mint Hill!
