Mahatma Gandhi once said, “Be the Change you want to see in the world.” These words, few in number but powerful in meaning, cleverly describe the movement that is FMMG. Devon’s passion has always been music. Fulfilling those dreams of his heart has lead him to release multiple songs and also to build his own studio, HP Production Ltd., in order to give himself the freedom to produce and record whe
never the mood strikes. In his day-to-day though, he has discovered what he sees as a grievous error that he fully intends to correct. Devon ardently states, “There are many talented young people out here who simply need a chance to show what they can do. I had to find my own way, but now given the chance I really want to help others reach their full potential.”
Joining him in this venture is Anson Soverall who intends to make use of his innovative style and multi-genre production and song-writing abilities. He is also of the belief that once given the chance and the right tools, this younger generation, is sure to stun the world with its own distinctive sound. Anson’s work has already crossed international boundaries with a successfully co-produced song that received significant airplay on BBC radio. The song titled, “Paasalmba” represents his foray into the Asian music market, however, he is also presently working with artistes in Suriname, Barbados, the U.S. and Holland. His ability to create Soca, Hip Hop, R&B, Pop, Dance, Techno, as well as Dub Step, all with his own unique twist, makes him an invaluable asset to FMMG and the perfect person to help bring the change that he sees is so desperately needed in the local industry. As a result of their unified vision Devon and Anson are working together with quite a few gifted artistes of various strengths and genres to create a musical force that will make its collective voice heard throughout the world music scene. The noble cause has also recruited support from producers around the world like King Bubba of Platta Studios alongside, the Marketing and Management Team, Riddimstream.com. So who are these young talents set to greatly benefit from the aforementioned pool of experience that is FMMG? The solitary lady in the group is by now well known to TnT viewers and music lovers as far away as Nigeria and California. Dezii, is already a recording artist as well as a song-writer, who can charm her way into the soul of anyone tuning in to her powerful voice. With a versatility that allows her the freedom to flex her vocal skills in styles such as, Techno, Dance, Soul, R&B as well as Jazz, she fully intends to make her presence felt every time you hear her sing. Sovereignty is a three-man group that brings together many different talents and life perspectives all in one defiant and uplifting beat-filled expression. Comprising of Kearn “K. Sose” Samuel, Hilton “Ace Dot” King, and Sean “Synister” John these young men are set to not only put TnT on the world map, but also, to positively change the world in their own dynamic way. Singer/actor/rapper K. Sose is the artistic guiding force in the group, while Ace Dot uses his inner strength and drive to fuel his potent lyrics in addition to his certified skills in mixing to keep the team strong. These two in combination with Synister, a hard-hitting lyrically witty rapper, with unquestionable abilities as a video editor, make Sovereignty a formidable power to be reckoned with. The very soulful Kevin “Von-Erik” Mike has his sights set on seducing the R&B, and Groovy-Soul world with irresistible lyrics and a voice that lovers and dancers alike, could never say no to. As both an artiste and song-writer influenced from young by many of the greats, like Marvin Gaye and Michael Jackson, he brings a smooth vibe that is as compelling as his genuine love for music, which shines through from his melodic spirit out to the world. The entire team is pulsing with insatiable hunger and focused ambition. They are very determined to prove that the young amongst us have priceless contributions to make towards the constructive growth of TnT and its people. FMMG hopes to lead by example and open the door for a much-needed rejuvenation of spirit and soul in our country’s youth and musical landscape. And given the support and already in-place musical developmental structure, provided by Devon and Anson, they seem surely destined to have the entire world keenly tuned in to them… with bated breath.
