Saw another cut of Sweet Nothings. Sharper this time. Closer to what I saw in my head when writing it, and then again when we were on set. I guess that's what I like about filmmaking, there's always three films before you're done, the film you write, the film you shoot, and the film you cut. Each one a little different. All of them exciting in their own way.

As Sweet Nothings moves through post-production, I wanted to take time to recognize the collaborators behind the film.

Caley Paquette [] was our Key Makeup Artist. She owns The Divas Den in Maine - divasdenmaine.com - and was looking to expand into film work when we connected.

She handled hair and makeup across the shoot, including aging our lead actor for the role. Consistent from the first day to the last and great addition to our crew. Really glad to have found her.

I watched the rough cut of Sweet Nothings with our fantastic editor Steve Sarles

We've worked together before and I made a point of staying out of his first cut entirely. What he brought back was exactly the kind of work I've come to expect from him.

A few more passes ahead, but we're rounding into shape.

Ryan Rodgers (Thorndike Productions) handled location sound on Sweet Nothings.

I met him through NH Media Makers a few years ago. Attentive, focused, and genuinely a nice person to have around on set.

Dawn Morton was Script Supervisor and Still Photographer on Sweet Nothings.

We've worked together on many projects and I knew what to expect — total focus on continuity while simultaneously producing 600 stills. Two demanding jobs, both done well. Shes totally awesome

Jordan Hill served as 2nd AD and Intimacy Coordinator on Sweet Nothings.

Both roles require a specific kind of attention — to the schedule, to the people, to what's happening in the room.

He handled both without making either feel like a production. Things worked because he was on top of them.

John Westcott [] came on for the night shoot on Sweet Nothings to handle fog.

He'd been recommended to me by several people before we ever worked together. He came in partway through the night, got what the scene needed, and delivered it without a lot of back and forth.

John is someone who wears a lot of different hats on set. Someone who knows how to apply it on a working set is a useful person to have in your corner.
