Good afternoon!
It's Kevin Smith, here. Hey, I just wanted to wish a very happy 31st birthday, to my all-time favorite radio station, REBEL RADIO, and to give a big thanks to Scott Davidson for keeping this baby afloat, and keeping Metal music (a/k/a: REAL MUSIC) alive, and on the air, for over three decades! Not an easy feat, to be sure! And thank you, too, for including me, in the lineup, for the past 7 years! I'm grateful for the opportunity.
Also, and mainly, a HUUUGE thank you, to the listeners of this station! For a 100% certainty, there would be no REBEL RADIO, without you all! We couldn't ask for a more loyal listening audience! Here's to another 31 years+!! 🤘🍻🤘

~ HEY! HANG OUT WITH ME, AND LET'S JAM SOME METAL, TONIGHT! ~
And let's do that on Chicago's own "Mecca Of Metal", the one and only, REBEL RADIO! I, Kevin Smith, will be your host, for a quite "bombastic" (nice word!) show I like to call, "Tear-It-Up-Tuesday", on that very same station, this evening, from 7:00 PM, until Midnight (U.S. Central Time). I intend to fill that 5 hours, with heavy music, that is intended to make you very glad you tuned in! Tonight's show will begin with a block of songs, by bands that have the letter, "X" as the first letter of their respective names. Easily the toughest search, of the entire alphabet! Up next, some new releases are on tap. There'll be new Metal from: S***m, Forbidden, Oni (Logan), Judas Priest and a couple more. After that, the time machine will be gassed up (with the A/C running!) and ready to take us back 16 years, to the year 2009, for an extended perusal of some of the ass-kickin' Metal, released that year. And, in my opinion, there's a bunch of it! 🤘😆🤘 Once we return to present day, I've lined up a covers feature that pays tribute to the legendary Black Sabbath, in honor of their final performance, a few days ago, on July 5th. Next up is the Build-A-Block feature and Stephanie has suggested the word, CRAZY and also contributed one song suggestion, to that block. Time permitting, I've got more in store, as well. ~ WE BEGIN THE 2ND HALF OF 2025, ON A "TEAR-IT-UP-TUESDAY"! ~
And I, for one, am up for it! Because it is also a holiday-shortened work week! So, let's hang out and crank up some Metal tonight. Good day to you! It's Kevin Smith here, your Tuesday evening host on "The Nation's Hardest Station", REBEL RADIO. I'll be on the air tonight, from 7:00 PM until Midnight (Chicago Time), bringing you the best of the heaviest...tunes, that is! The United States turns 249 years old, on Friday of this week; 💪🇺🇸 and I think we need to pay proper tribute to that. So, I've got a main feature put together, loaded up with songs that all have words in their titles, relating to The 4th Of July. Words like: Freedom, Independence, America, Revolution, Yankee, etc. will all be prominently mentioned. But we'll start that 4th Of July feature, after we take care of some other business, first. We'll be starting the show with a 6-Pack of bands, with the letter, "W" as the first letter of their names. Then, with it being the first show of the month, tonight we will also have the Album Of The Month. And for July, we've got a cranker of an album, that was just released a mere 31 days ago. It's the brand new, self-titled release by Rivers Of Nihil. A very solid effort by this band, from Reading, Pennsylvania. I definitely think you're going to enjoy it! More is planned for tonight's show, as long as I've got time to get to it. I hope you'll join me, this evening!

~ ANOTHER "TEAR-IT-UP-TUESDAY" IS UPON US, ONCE AGAIN! ~
And I, for one, couldn't be more up for it! 🤘😆🤘 What's up, music lovers? It's Kevin Smith here, with your weekly missive. A cordial invite for you to join me, this evening, on Chicago's one-and-only REBEL RADIO. I'll be on the air, from 7:00 PM until Midnight (U.S. Central Time) to bring you the heaviest, "primo-est", highest quality Metal that I can possibly come up with! I've got lots planned for that 5-hour block, to be sure. The show will start off, with a 6-Pack of hands, that will all have the letter, "U" as the first letter of their names. We're up to letter #21, of the 26. Then, some new Metal to check out from: Helloween, Sabaton, Till Lindemann (of Rammstein) and more. After that, it's into the time machine we go, to head back 31 years, to the year 1994. Lots of great tunes were released, that year, and we're going to be cranking up a whole slew of 'em! When we get back from '94, the Build-A-Block feature will be next. Dean Koukal suggested the word, BLADE awhile back; and it actually took me quite a bit of searching to get enough songs, for this one. But I think I finally got it right. Of course, there's much more in store, for tonight's show. But time always becomes a factor, for some reason. 🤔 But I hope you'll consider joining me, this evening. How's it going today, Metalheads?! It's Kevin Smith, hailing you here, and inviting you to join me tonight, on our favorite station, REBEL RADIO, for this week's installment of the (ahem) "world renowned", Tear-It-Up Tuesday show! I am being given control of the play button, from 7:00 PM until Midnight, and I plan on using that time to send the highest-quality, heavy wattage, directly to your cottage, for that 5-hour time period! Tonight's show will start off with a block of songs, by bands having the letter, "T" as the first letter of their names. Just 6 letters to go, before we've gotten through the whole alphabet! We've also got a bunch of new releases on tap, for tonight. New stuff from: Killswitch Engage, Evanescence, Alice Cooper, Dark Angel and a few more! After that, we'll be heading back, 17 years, in the time machine, to the year 2008, for this week's "Tear-It-Up-Tuesday Total Time Focus".
