PINEAL REVERIE Explorations in experimental, underground, DIY and outsider sound. It is primarily based in Cheltenham, UK, but has wide eyes and is willing to travel.

Birthed by a small collective in the spa town of Cheltenham and continuing to emanate outwards pretentiously. Pineal Reverie can be amazing, mischievous, confusing, noisy, reflective and shamelessly art for art's sake. Pineal Reverie organises and promotes events that usually focus towards what many would call the leftfield or avant-garde. It is not for profit - it doesn't even try to be. Pineal R

everie is also an online sound archive, set up initially to collect and document the output of those involved in the one-time small-town former record label 'Elbandito Recordings'. It now continues to grow, out of control, encompassing the labels offshoots, friends and related projects - past and constant, uploaded with sporadic regularity. Between 2012 - 2014 Pineal Reverie was also a radio programme on Basic.fm (www.basic.fm). Basic.fm was a net radio broadcast project based at Tyneside Cinema, Newcastle Upon Tyne. Pineal Reverie went out on Wednesday night's at 9pm, with a new programme every two weeks. Sadly, Basic.fm ceased broadcasting in the latter half of 2014. Pineal Reverie is there to entertain those who enjoy the niche, to offer the casual gig-goer something that they may not have experienced before, to place the audience slightly outside of their comfort zone, raise questions, challenge ideals and to make art seem fun / dangerous. Pineal Reverie doesn't like being told what to do, but loves to hear new ideas. Pineal Reverie isn't afraid to fail. Pineal Reverie may also from time to time, produce leaflets, short films and podcasts amongst other media. Follow this page if you would like to keep updated on what we are up to next.

'This Is Linda' from the album 'Toynbee Tile' by Dan Cooper

01/05/2020

Releasing a new album today to coincide with Bandcamp giving 100% of their fees direct to the artist - a great opportunity to support underground musicians who, like us all, are currently feeling the pinch. It'll pop up on other streaming sites soon, but for now, head over to BC and give it a spin. I'll also post some other bandcamp recommendations in the comments! Let me know what you think and try to keep safe, sane & indoors x Love y'all
