One of the great trekking areas of Nepal is the Tamang Heritage Trail. North of Kathmandu, it is short trek that takes you between the Ganesh Himal and Langtang Mountain Ranges of the Himalayas. it focuses on the Tamang people of the mountains plus features a nice hot springs.

This Sunday, we have a blind lady from Sweden coming to trek the Langtang region north of Kathmandu. She plans to trek to 5000 meters in elevation. She is trekking with Trekking Mart of Kathmandu who are providing a porter and guide along with a photographer. We will be covering her story while she is in Nepal.

There are daily tiger sightings in Bardia National Park. According to the Park Warden, you have a 90% chance of seeing a tiger. There is also one tigeress here with four cubs. A rather unusual sight.

Today is Shivaratri in Nepal which celebrates the birthday of the god Shiva. Today there are hundreds of thousands of Hindus celebrating at Pashupati Temple in Kathmandu with many sandhu (priests) like the one shown in attendance. This day is marked by smoking large quantities of ma*****na as well as general celebration.

This is my favorite breakfast here in Bangladesh: chicken soup large pieces of chicken and hot tandoori roti (bread). You can get three large pieces of bread, soup and sweet milk tea at Al Barak Restaurant in Mirpur 10, Dhaka for only $1.21. Great service, too.

Always amazes me how cheap you can eat in Bangladesh. Breakfast of chicken soup with two big pieces of meaty chicken along with three big pieces of tandoori Ritu (Indian bread) and tea for about $1.

The traditional tribal people of the Bandarban District create some beautiful weavings. We trekked four about four hours visiting Mru and Baum VIllages. Today we visited the Golden Temple which is the most famous Buddhist structure in Bangladesh. It has as golden dome and sits on top of a high hill.

This Buddhist pagoda is currently under construction. It is called Ram Jadi Pagoda and is in Kalaghata, four km from Bundarban City in Bangaldesh

We are celebrating in Nepal as India has finally taken down the blockade against our country after over four months. Trucks are now bringing goods across the border from Raxaul to Birgunj and now on their way with cooking gas, petrol, cooking oil and more to Kathmandu. Thank you for your prayers. It will be a few weeks before things get caught up in Kathmandu, but this is a true answer to prayers.

Barpak village in Gorkha District was the epicenter of the April 25 earthquake. 99% of the homes were destroyed. Today they are rebuilding. Two hotels are open along with 6 homestays. Saturday's snowfall was beautiful
