Hollow City — a solo exhibition by Bree Esplanada — invites you into a world where melancholy meets magic, and solitude transforms into strength. Now on view at Galerie Inatù (Atua Midtown), this deeply personal showcase unearths Bree’s rich inner world through illustrations, fashion design, and handcrafted figures created in collaboration with Happy Garaje.

Each piece in the exhibit is a quiet rebellion against the idea that “hollow” means empty. Instead, Bree reimagines hollowness as a vessel — a container for emotion, memory, imagination, and healing. Inspired by the strange and surreal tales of Tim Burton, Ransom Riggs, and the Brothers Grimm, his work becomes a visual diary of growing pains, inner tangles, and tender reflections on finding safety in the wildness of nature and the self.

From eerie trees with twisting limbs to silent symbols of refuge, Bree’s art is moody yet resilient — a celebration of being peculiar, emotional, and beautifully human. Hollow City is a space to feel seen, to remember your roots, and to believe that even in quiet, misunderstood spaces, creativity thrives.

Q***r Voices, Freshly Spoken.

On view this May–June at gallery. sort of., Ways of Being gathers four q***r artists—Mark Hernandez, Asaliah Reyes, Mark Tisado, and Patricia Tierra—in a tender, powerful exhibition exploring identity, memory, vulnerability, and becoming.

Through painting, textiles, and mixed media, the show moves through moments of solitude, connection, nostalgia, and growth. Whether it’s late-night ruminations, the rush of a rave, the quiet joy of shared meals, or the chaos of change, each work asks: How do you simply be—and what does that look like for you?

This is q***rness as process: playful, painful, evolving, and always deeply personal.

BLNC is an online fashion and art magazine dedicated to the underground youth, the vague and the implicit. Put up together by Cebu’s most artistic and experimental young minds, BLNC is the unconventional probe of the Queen City’s distinct chronicles on the latest in fashion, androgyny, art culture and street style. It is the uncovering of Cebu’s rusty side. BLNC MAGAZINE is more than an art compilation; it is a movement, an uprising, a reality.
