Lawler Update, September 16, 2025 - Jerry Lawler says he's grateful for the love and support he's received since the minor stroke he suffered at his Florida condo on Friday, September 12, 2025. This was his third stroke since 2018 after having a heart attack in 2012.
The likely cause of his stroke came to light when he admitted he hadn't been taking his medication. "When I look back, a few days before the stroke, I just didn't take it properly--at the right time--and then I woke up Friday morning and it was... bad."
Lawler's biggest issue now is his vision, admitting he had trouble recognizing his own house when he returned to Memphis last Saturday. "I remember lying in the bed in the hospital and when people that I knew, family members, came in and I didn't even recognize them." Otherwise, he said, he feels pretty good and is taking his medicine as directed.
