Our personal all time favorite driver. Rags Carter was a legend in his own time. Back in the day guys like Rags, Frankie, Buzzie, Elton, Whip, Bobby, Budd, and a host of others would bring so much excitement that as a kid, I found it hard to go to sleep either the night before or after coming home from a race. Here Rags is running the iconic #44 at the great Nazareth 1/2 mile, circa 1969. (photo from the MoonRacer1 Network Archives)

From our house, growing up: A "work-in-progress" photo of the old Austin Healy. From 1967 looks like some headway had been made in the car's journey to the SCODA ranks. From the looks of it, the "bowtie" has been installed, and bodywork had been done.(photo from the Mondschein Motorsports Collection)

Top shelf. This is the caliber of talent that enjoyed the Vintage Jamboree at the Jennerstown Speedway last weekend. Legendary wheelmen with s**t eating grins was what it was all about.🏁

We finally got settled in from last weeks adventure out at the first ever J-Town Vintage Jamboree. It was a "happening" and nobody walked away unhappy. More track time than anyone could ask for exercising your prized possessions at whatever speed you felt comfortable. (okay, with some restrictions, I guess?) Earlier in the week we put up some raw footage, and a condensed version of our run Saturday morning. Here's a finished look at our session, our cheeks still hurt from smiling. Enjoy.

Ride with me in a vintage midget around the beautiful Jennerstown Speedway in western Pennsylvania. Part of the first Vintage Jamboree.
