An overview of Poland's MHL for 2026. The MHL goes from 15 to 7 teams as Poland splits its 1st and U20 leagues once again.

The league will now feature a shorter regular season and have requirements for the number of Poles in the lineup. Breaks are also built into the calendar, as teams will also be competing in University hockey leagues.

Teams are still a mixed bag. Some will have more senior or semi-professional-style rosters, featuring a mix of veterans and young players. Others will focus more heavily on junior players. SMS PZHL Katowice is essentially Poland's U20 team. Then there is Opole United, which will be comprised of only young North American players.

Last weekend, the men's U18 squad concluded their pre-season camp with an Elite Cup first place finish and a perfect record.

Borys Dawid, 2 goals, and Mateusz Midzierski, 3 goals, were the leaders for the junior team.

Poland's U16 squad continues to roll with another big sweep! They scored 23 goals across 3 games at last weekend's Elite Cup event.

Antoni Sroka, with 8 goals, was the standout. He scored at least 2 goals in each game. Wojciech Jacak also had a strong tournament, scoring 3 goals.
