LOST MAP RECORDS was established in 2013, from The Pictish Trail’s caravan home on the Planet Eigg (56°54’N, 06°10’W). A brand new micro-label and collective unshackled by style or genre, it was formed with a pioneering spirit to reasse

ss how we discover and explore music amid the disorientating digital geography of the 21st century. Lost Map was able to immediately give shelter to a tribe of amazing artists including Rozi Plain, Kid Canaveral, Seamus Fogarty, Randolph’s Leap, eagleowl, Monoganon and Pictish Trail. It’s those names and many more yet to be encountered that will lead Lost Map on its creative adventure, through physical and digital releases, events, festivals and all destinations in between.

The euphoric, transportive live experience that is Free Love returns to Forgan Arts Centre's Lughnasadh Music & Art Festival.

Rounding out a stacked bill featuring some of Scotland's brightest and best. Looks like an amazing day.

✨ GRUNDERNA ✨

Our propulsive first single with ISHAAQ AARKRISTRA - the Stockholm-based genre mashing ensemble led by Swedish Indian musician Ishaaq.

A dizzying, psychedelic kaleidoscope of swirling analogue synth and bansuri flute solos over a thundering breakbeat and a snaking raga-based riff.

Streaming now, and included as part of this month's delivery of our club.

The postcard single is backed with backed with the more contemplative, but no less intricately layered, 'Arikomban Space'.

Both tracks were recorded at ABBA’s RMV Studio in Stockholm, with suitably lush production from Jari Haapalainen (The Concretes, Camera Obscura). Its the first glimpse of new music from the band coming later this year.

⭐ FAITH ELIOTT - DRYAS GLASGOW LAUNCH ⭐

In a revery thinking about the dreamy time we had at Leith Cricket Club a few weeks back, and pleased to say we get to do it all again for the Glasgow launch of Faith Eliott's stunning new album Dryas.

Featuring the full band (Robyn Dawson! Susan Bear! Signy Jakobsdottir!) for a lush recreation of the whole album.

We also have special guests in Glasgow-based audiovisual trio Instruction Manual, and alt pop label mates Sulka. Dream bill for sure.

Just one more sleep until our Summer bash with our favourite purveyors of tea, cake and nice times - Daylight Music.

An afternoon of art pop cut three ways, with performances from Owen & The Eyeballs, Faith Eliott and F E L L. At St John's Church in Leytonstone, from 12pm - part of Leytonstone Arts Festival.

Fell even have a song called 'Leytonstone' on the new album 𝘍𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘙𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘴. Its like it was all meant to be.

🌞 LOST MAP PODCAST // JULY 2025 😎

Pictish Trail flies solo this month, as co-host Laura jets off on her holidays.

This month's podcast features a big chat all about the new F E L L record 𝘍𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘙𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘴 - out this Friday. Or rather, the lack of record.

Band leader Nicolas Burrows and Matt Brennan from Doughnut Music Lab talk all about the 'vinyl-less vinyl' format they've put together for the release, creating a beautiful tactile physical presence for the music, but without an actual vinyl record, (and so avoiding the use of harmful plastics).

There's a run through month's releases from Both Hands, Dominie Hooper, and Ishaaq Aarkistra.

We've also some video news, and fresh info on Pictish Trail's upcoming tour.
