How splendid to see your vision swim to the surface after decades of patience! This pleated seashell bra is ingenious. May the tides keep guiding your creative spirit as it has these past 20 years - from early sketches to now dazzling all who behold your works. The fruits of passion are everlasting when artfully nurtured.
I have had this idea for the pleated "seashell" vibe mermaid bra top in my head for easily 20 years. I wish I would have saved my original sketches and prototype pattern drawings!
Speaking of "saving things", my husband Tyler pulled out his journal yesterday and read us some of the entries from when he and I were newlyweds and first embarking on this business. He has a journal entry from THE DAY he quit his job to work alongside me producing costumes. He says something like, "I will miss my job answering phones for the US Postal Service, but I hope we can make this work".
In an entry about a year later, he details our GROSS and NET income for the first year in business and literally says, "I think this will be helpful for future generations."
Apparently, with us both working completely full time selling costumes on ebay AND doing NINE Renaissance Festivals in our first year in business, we managed to squeak out a Gross of $51,000 and a NET income of $18,000. With both of us. Working full time. With a brand new baby PLUS one on the way.
I also found it very charming how complimentary young Tyler was to me in his journal. He talks about my long dark hair and dazzling green eyes and how beautiful I look feeding and snuggling our little baby. Goodness, Tyler. Making me blush. \
Anyhow, thank you Tyler for quitting your job all those years to embark on a very strange voyage with me.
