.. A couple of new LPFM's have hit the air ..
. KLPU-LP, 101.3 in Ventura CA filed a "license to cover" and is on the air with a variety format as "CamaRadio" .. The station streams at: https://camaradio.org ..
. WFPC-LP, 107.3 in Fort Recovery OH filed a "license to cover" and is on the air with an "80's, 90's & today" format ..
. And, KSOW-LP, 106.7 in Cottage Grove OR went silent on 7/1 .. Their statement to the FCC:

"KSOW-LP has been having multiple problems with its broadcast equipment chain.
The transmitter has been shutting off and the reflected power from
antenna has been problematic.
A broadcast engineering consultant visited and reviewed the matter.
The issue is transmitter is dated and needs replacement, in
addition to the broadcast antenna inspected for loose fittings and paths for moisture.
KSOW-LP thus needs to go silent for duration to review the matters
and purchase new equipment."

.. KCPZ-LP, 95.3 in Kansas City MO went silent on 7/9 .. Their statement to the FCC:

"The former building and tower location were sold and the location is unavailable for further leasing.
The staff of KCPZ-LP 193454 KC, MO is earnestly seeking a move that meets all FCC rules so that the station may return to "on-air" status."

.. WISL-LP, 98.7 in Washington Island WI has filed a "license to cover" and is on the air with a variety of programming .. The station streams at: https://www.washingtonislandradio.com ..
. WZQR-LP, 100.7 in Bokeelia FL notified the FCC that they will be taking their station silent tomorrow, 7/11 .. Their statement to the FCC:

"Pine Island Community Radio Corporation (PICRC) plans to take WZQR-LP, Bokeelia, Florida silent as of Friday, July 11, 2025 due to programming and other operational issues.
PICRC anticipates that WQZR-LP will be off the air for at least 30 days, thus justifying this STA request.
PICRC has been made aware of their statutory obligations, pursuant to §312(g) of the Communications Act."

. KUTZ-LP, 103.1 in Sacramento CA went silent on 6/20 .. Their statement to the FCC:

"Facility had to terminate broadcast because it lost its broadcast antenna site.
A new, improved site, however, has been found.
Licensee is currently in talks with the building owner concerning fulfilling assurances prior to the mast/antenna mount.
An application for construction permit shall be forthcoming."
. KHSX-LP, 101.5 in Houston TX has gone back on the air, as of 7/4 .. They had been silent since July 10, 2024 ..
. KCJL-LP, 95.1 in Dodge Center MN has applied to change ownership from One Day Church Project Inc. to Ascent Adventist Academy .. Their statement to the FCC:

"The Assignee’s educational objectives include the following:
1. To provide religious instruction and moral teaching.
2. To teach parents and children principles for strengthening the home.
3. To help members of the community discover solutions to the personal, social, relational and health problems typical of contemporary times.
4. To provide opportunity for and to promote discussion of all areas of family, contemporary social, religious and personal life issues.
5. To teach the ideals of citizenship, integrity, personal responsibility, moral rectitude and spiritual maturity.
To further those educational objectives, the applicant proposes to present a variety of programming to inform, entertain, stimulate and educate the audience in the station’s service area.
The programming will be directed to listeners of all backgrounds and ages in an effort to instill a sense of harmony and cooperation among all members of the community."

.. A call letter assignment for one of the timeshare stations on 96.9 in San Diego CA (Football Camp For Kids), which will become KKWC-LP ..
. And, KHRB-LP, 92.3 in Harrisburg OR went silent on 6/10 .. Their statement to the FCC:

"Coax and/or antenna problems."

.. A way bit after the fact, but WKDW-LP, 97.5 in North Port FL notified the FCC today that they went silent all the way back on September 20, 2024 .. Their statement to the FCC:

"WKDW-LP lost access to the transmission site and went silent on 9/20/2024 right before hurricane Helene, and we seek authorization to remain silent.
We recently learned that this notification should have occurred within 10 days, and are working with the Prometheus Radio
Project to improve our future compliance.
A relocation construction permit should be filed shortly since we intend to be back on the air before the 12-month maximum silence period ends."

. KHSA-LP, 107.3 in Hot Springs AR went silent on 6/26 .. Their statement to the FCC:

"The station has lost the use of the authorized transmitter site and went off the air on June 26, 2025.
The licensee anticipates filing a modification application to propose a new site in the near future."
. WMYU-LP in Ooltewah TN has gone back on the air and have also changed frequencies slightly from 99.7 to 99.5 .. The station had been silent since October 30, 2024 ..
. And, a whole bunch of new call letter assignments to report:

* 103.3 in Mayaguez PR - WMGZ-LP
* 94.5 in Hazleton PA - WTUU-LP
* 94.1 in St. Louis MO - KSLB-LP
* 106.1 in Baton Rouge LA applies to change their calls from WTQT-LP to WSUB-LP
